Q: Constellation has been "A" rated and I think it's no secret it is the current favourite 5i Canadian stock for numerous reasons, great chart. I'd like to know what CSU would need to do to earn an "A+" rating to rise above its very few "A" peers; would a stock split help? If CSU can't make "A+" what non-Canadian company might be on the horizon for the "A+" rating, recognizing it's not your area of expertise? If I'd never heard of 5i I would not have been in CSU since $115 and since the initial purchase have averaged up, and I sure wouldn't be in "A" territory! Thanks, 5i.

Q: Hi Peter,
I bought CTY three years ago at $17.90. I certainly collected a nice dividend along the way but capital gains have been quite very modest. It trades at low valuation (P/E=10, ROE=20%) and is active in its share buyback (bought 1.5% of outstanding shares last quarter). Their Primacy acquisition seem to have worked out, and would hope that they make more tuck-in acquisitions instead of increasing their dividend further.

I know you are very high on MDA. To me, MDA looks like a larger version of CTY, with access to the US markets with their recent acquisition, which CTY does not. MDA has more growth but trades at higher multiple, at least on last 12-month basis.

With the recent spike in CTY shares from $18->20 and the pull-back in MDA from $85->80, would you consider a swap from CTY to MDA as a good move going forward, or would you be patient with CTY?

Thanks!
Jon

Q: Hi Peter and team;
Thanks for the great service. I am building positions with A and B rated stocks. So far I have bought Stantec, Enghouse, BNS. I am looking at adding another stock, my goals are long term hold (5 years) and looking for dividend growth potential and stock price appreciation. At this time, is their one stock you would recommend.
Tks
Kevin

Q: Hi Gang;

My question is about Dragonwave Inc. it has come out with a new public offering at $2.10 a share which includes a 3/4 warrant to be exercised at $2.70 a share within five years of closing. Is this a good deal? Should I be interested in acquiring a piece of this company at this price and if so, how do I do it?

Thanks in advance for your time! Love the service!!

Q: I recall you mentioning that a stock reaching a market cap of $100mm makes it more attractive to some fund managers. Similarly, I seem to recall also hearing somewhere that reaching a share price of $5 (as Redknee Solutions T.RKN did today) is similarly significant. Do you agree? Given its international clientele, do you foresee a US listing for this dynamic Canadian tech issue?

Q: Hello, what do you guys think of Solium Capital (SUM.TO)? I have held it for a while and it was a steady climb until August. Now the stock seems to be a bit directionless. This is a half weight position in the higher risk part of my portfolio. Should I take profits and move on or hold for a few more quarters to see what comes of it?

thanks
