Q: Hello 5i
I'm hearing a lot of chatter about small caps having good growth prospects going forward. I believe you like IWO for US small caps.
Can you suggest 5-6 of your favorite US stocks to hold as a basket of small caps instead of IWO if one wanted to own stocks directly.
Thank you so much!!
Dave

Q: I have been looking for exposure in the hydrogen business and have a few questions. I own XBC based on your coverage and have done well so thank you. My first question is whether it makes sense to just pile into the US names like PLUG or FCEL as they are much more explosive given the audience or to look for quality names doing similar things in Canada. If you could also state your thoughts on why one market is better despite similar tech.

The second part of my question is that I notice DYA comes up alongside Ballard Power and Xebec in your answers related to hydrogen. The chart on DYA is almost an exact reverse of BLDP and XBC which holders of those stocks will know is a bad thing. What is DYA not doing yet (or has done wrong) that has caused it to go down vs. up? What needs to happen for it to catch investor attention? Is there a product or service yet to launch? Is there a technology not yet widely adopted? Lastly, does 5i see strong potential here for DYA to do "that thing" that will be a catalyst for the stock price or are you merely mentioning it as one in a sector.

Q: Last week on BNN Bloomberg the ceo mentioned that they are supplying to Tesla. On the company website they have technical/ marketing papers that explain the use of their transformers in electric power stations and how there will be large demand for more dry transformers as the demand for charging cars increases. I note they opened a plant in Reno Nevada in January 2020 that is 3 times larger than their other plants nearby and is not meant to replace current plants but to add capacity. Tesla has a big battery factory in Nevada.

Q: Eddy Elfenbein of Crossing Wall Street fame has added Miller Industries to his portfolio this year. I know Eddy spends a lot of time analyzing companies ahead of bringing them into his portfolio and he is giving Miller a glowing recommendation. I wonder what your take is of Miller as an addition to a growth TFSA portfolio?

Q: Hammond Power Solutions was featured on BNN yesterday. They seem to have a history of paying a good dividend (4%) and potentially in a position to catch the benefits from the renewable energy wave. Would you invest in this stock, or are there any similar investments that are a better play you'd suggest? I'm considering selling some gold mining stocks in KNT to buy HPS to diversify my portfolio a bit, I won't be drawing from my RRSP for 50+ years.
