Q: I thought Santonia Energy was a respectable company...I notice the stock just crashed by about 20%. Is it just the price and over supply of gas which significantly reduces profits? Can the company survive until the price improves? Any chance gas prices will improve within the next year? What do you think? Thanks...I always appreciate your insights!

Q: West Texas Intermediate crude for December delivery added $1.43 to $94.80 on the New York Merc, while Brent for December lost nine cents to $105.24 (all figures in this para U.S.). Western Canadian Select traded at a discount of $41.79 to WTI ($53.01),

With the above said I have some questions :
1.what would be the price at which a good producer ( like surge ,whitecape and CPG )could make money ,( pay a divined and spend enough capital to keep doing well.
2. does a company like Argent , American CPg (oil ) get the WTI pricing.
3. do you think that in the next 2 to 5years the discount rate will be significantly reduced on a consistent basis.
4. Short term 2 years are pipelines planned and approved now going to make a difference.
I hold quite a lot of oil stocks and may have made assumptions that will prove unrealistic especially on pricing and discounts. .
any light on the above will be most helpful
thanks as always

Q: Hi Team,
Tourmaline (TOU) share price has been waning since they "missed" in the summer. Unfortunately I'm under water on this one, and seeing red day in and day out wears you down. I an actually thinking of adding to my position depending on your outlook.
When are they due to report, and what's your current insight into the stock?
Should I add before or after the report.
Thanks.

Q: Hello 5I team. Yesterday, Trilogy energy reported a weak quarter which is disappointing and the stock took a large hit yesterday & today. I have been a long term holder of TET (2006) and have had an average gain of approx. 15% to date. My question: Where do you see TET 12 months from now and do you think it would be wise for me to exit now and take my gain and invest in TOG or SGY. Both of these have decent dividends. Perhaps you can recommend a couple of better plays that have potential to grow and provide some dividend income while we wait. I find your straightforward advice extremely valuable and look forward to your answer.

Q: Hi team.
I've been a shareholder of Canacol energy (CNE ) for the last two years and seen it's share price oversold at the 2.30 level only to come back storngly to the 5.o9 level on positive developments. however, over the last two weeks, it seems to have lost momentum and has lost almost 20% of it's value. I'ts first quarter numbers2014 are to be out by nov. 15 . Is the price weakness ,lately due to profit taking ,or some other unforeseen reason? Should i buy on weakness or wait for the Nov. 15 Q1 release? Where do you see their share price a year from now?
Thank you from a "frustrated' shareholder
