Q: Is Tourmaline doing the right thing now (getting more money, but issuing 5 million common shares, up from 3 million)? With this dilution, wiil they get interesting earnings per share ? In contrast, a company like COS does not issue additional shares since quite some years. Isn't it the way to go ?

Q: Hi, would you why, today (Feb 15) Nexen (NXY) closed at $27.63, when CNOOC has agreed to buy the stock for $27.50 on Feb 25? Who would buy it at that price when they know the stock will only be worth $27.50 a week from now. Thanks ... Cal

Q: Hi Gang, Encana is taking a beating today. The news was bad, but I would have thought most of it already priced in. In any regard, the price is off over 25% in the last 4 months. Q: Should one be interested in buying National Oilwell Varco (NOV), a US stock at 69$, would you be able to confirm it is something solid and worthwhile ? (Standard&Poor gives it a 5-star rating and a 12-month target price of 95$)Diversification with a good US stock is normally OK, but do you see better fishing in Canada ?
