Q: What in the devil is happening with Biosyent? I don't see any news on it but it continues to go down. Is it time to buy more or just hold off until something tells us maybe we should be selling?
Q: Would this be a good stock to add to my portfolio. Eddie.
Q: I have owned Transalta for 15 years and have had it on dividend reinvestment for the same period. All of the other utility stocks that I own have performed well (ema, fts, trp, enb) but TA has been an underperformer. I am considering switching TA for Capital Power (CPX) and was wondering if you would agree with this switch.
Q: Would you have knowledge on this new issue in Toronto.
Q: Peter, I have a $60,000 TFSA and have let my winners run. My stocks are BYD (33%); DHX (33%); FSV (15%); KLS (10%) and 9% cash. I am considering trimming my positions in BYD and DHX and selling KLS. I do not have a need for the money and have a long time frame and was considering adding CXI; CCL.B; ATD.B.
Q: Good Morning Peter and the 5i Team,
A comment regarding Gildan: I took my grandson to the Halton Skills competition in Milton this morning, and was pleased to see that all the t-shirts supplied to the participants were in large Gildan boxes. Owning GIL, thanks to the superb advice from 5i, has been most rewarding! Thanks for such timely recommendations.

Q: Several of my bonds have just come due and I would like to deploy the cash.. There is lots of chatter concerning increasing interest rates. You have recommended in the past bond etfs CBO, XBB and HFR. Should I buy in now or wait? I'm a big fan! Thanks
Q: Those who trade with TD should know they have a President's Account for investors with $500K+ or 5K annual commissions. Among the benefits is this - "The President's Account clients have an exclusive Priority Phone Line they can call into which will be routed to an experienced professional with quicker wait times." Streaming and Level 2 quotes is another big plus, and Globe Investor Gold. You may have to ask for it; I don't know why TD doesn't advertise it.
Q: Hi, I received in 2014 a cash and Verizon stock dividend from Vodafone. My question is do I declare the stock dividend as a dividend or return of capital for adjusted cost base on Vodafone stock. If anyone is in that situation would appreciate the input. Is this a valid quetion ?
Q: Hello 5i. Seems like consolidation may start ramping up in the oil patch, Could you recommend a set of 3-5 names to hold as a basket and explain why you think they would look attractive to a potential suitor
Q: Could I have your thoughts on Mercer overall? It seems cheap and looks like a value play in a stock universe where value is increasingly difficult to find. Also could you comment on currency tailwinds that might benefit them in the near and medium term. And am I right to say that the Canadian equity seems to have very low trading volume or is it close to none for some reason that I have missed? Thank-you.
Q: Can you report an update on the overall state of affairs of Advent Wireless (AWI) Thank you in advance!
Q: I have a position in Fuel Cell and it had been declining for awhile. Please give me your opinion on this company and if you see any potential growth in the future. Thanks
Q: Just wondering if you follow StonePoint Energy and if you believe management is in a good position for making acquisitions in this cheap oil environment? Thanks.
Q: High Arctic Energy is down more than 6% today. I can find no negative news to explain the drop. Can youy shed some light on what is happening and give me your opinion of the conpany's prospects.
With appreciation

Q: I just noticed that my rio alto has been replaced with Tahoe, what do you think of the newly formed company.
Q: Hello, just wondering if you would hold onto prgo at this point or sell, had a 20% pop today. I have a 3% position. Thanks for your opinion
Q: I have significant positions (and losses) in my RRSP in BDI, STN and HCG that I note you have removed them from your model portfolio.
Would I be better to trim or eliminate from my RSP and put this into positions that I have not previously held from that portfolio such as ATD.B, WSP and BIN ?
(I am already well overweight in Financials and Tech, and do hold 12 of the 21 companies in that portfolio.)
Thanks for your help. My portfolios have done very well on your advice and I anticipate continued success!

Q: Hello Peter and 5i team.
I have significant losses in my Energy positions in my RRSP and have previously asked for your help in rebalancing my Financials, Tech, and Energy positions 30%, 40% and 15% the latter down from 30% last year before the energy crunch.
My questions today and I am asking for your advice on what is left in the portfolio; namely BAD, BDI, and SGY that have all been down 40-50%.
Would you continue to hold?
Replace with other Energy stocks?
Or sell and avoid the sector completely until a recovery is underway.
Thanks for all the help!!
