Q: Hi Peter,
HCG, AYA, MG, KEY, ALA and CNR all have pulled back quite significantly. Is this a good entry point to start a new position? Should I be concerned with housing market, rising interest rates that will potentially hurt these stocks? Which one do you prefer the most from these 5 names? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Q: Hi, what is your opinion on the railroads CNR and CP? The returns have been phenomenal. What is your opinion on their valuation and future growth? They always seem fairly valued or expensive but that is what I thought a couple years ago and they have doubled again since.Have you considered for your portfolio? Thanks.

Q: Hello Peter,
Thanks for your prompt replies and expert advice. I was listening to BNN last night, and interesting points were made. I have two questions:When companies buy back stock, the EPS goes up which is good for the stock; however, does it not reduce the book value. I was looking at CNR and the stock is trading over 4 times book. If this is the case, how is it that CNR keeps ticking higher (is it because it has a high barrier to entry and investors feel there is safety in the stock). Second question that came up is that the bank stocks have not hit a top. What metric would suggest a top in the banks? Is it if the PE goes over 15? Thanks again

Q: Hello:
I have hold CNR for a few years and my ACB is around $ 60
I heard that Mr. Bill Gates is the biggest non-Canadian shareholder of this stock as recommended by his bridge partner
W Buffett.
Should I take some profit or is one of the stocks to hold
for both dividend as well as long term growth ?
