Q: Hi Peter and Team, regarding Bonterra Energy, BNE, second quarter results, your thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated as usual. Looks very good to me! Thanks!
PS: growth plus dividend, they just keep slogging away to stay at the top right hand corner of their chart!
Q: HLP.UN Healthlease With HLP.UN being taken out (congrats!) I am in need of a stock to replace it. Do you have some suggestions to place on the watch list?
I do not have any stock that would participate in the housing recovery in the US. I waslooking at Norboard of whom has been down a lot lately and a dividend of over 11% yeild. Would recommend this stock for long hold and for dividend?
Thank You.
Paul
Q: Good morning,
Could you please give me your opinion on Aveda Transportation (AVE-V). I have taken some profits with IPL and was thinking of putting a portion of proceeds into AVE.
Q: Hi Peter and Team, regarding Macro Enterprises, MCR, can you please tell me if management/insiders are selling/buying their stock in the past few months? Thanks!
Q: Hello Peter & Co,
In my TFSA account, I have allocated $20k in tranches of $5k to invest and the rest is in an easily accessible account Premium savings PSA ETF. I have already invested in FRU (Royalties) and DHX (Media) and thinking of investing in ET (Technology) and Morneau Sheppell MSI (Human Resources). I'm not trying to hit the ball out of the park in terms of returns and, by the same token, have a good diversification.
Thanks as always,
Tony
I've been tracking a few thinly traded stocks for my RSP. Could you rank the following in terms of growth and stability for long term (10+ years)? LGT.B, ALC, KBL, CSW.A. I am particularly partial toward LGT.B. Do you think that this would be the type of company a pension or private equity could eventually scoop up? Thanks!
Q: We current hold the following ETF's in our RRSP accounts. XEI,ZDM,ZEQ,ZWH,ZUE,VIG and IWO. These represent 20% of our RRSP holdings. The remaining funds are in equities, most of which are funds held in your portfolio. We have a Wealth Management team looking after the rest of our investments and they hold equities and fixed income. Averaging 45% equity and 55% fixed income. We are currently 65 and 69 years of age. We would appreciate your thoughts on the ETF's we hold and are open to different options. Thanks for all your help
Q: Hi. I hold Lloyds Bank via the ADR (LYG US). The government seems to be considering a sale of all or part of their shares to institutional investors shortly. Do you think they will sell the shares below what they are trading at today, or at the previous sale price.
Thanks for your thoughts on this
Q: Hi Peter: I notice that Ainsworth Plywood(ANS) has come down in price since the cancelation of their proposed deal with Louisiana Pacific. Would this be a good entry point and do you think there is any upside from here? Thanks, Forrest
Q: Hi 5i: I've held Avigilon for a while. At one point I was up 60% and am still up though I've lost at least half my paper gains. I still like its growth prospects, but it seems unless the growth is "per share", the market is not impressed. Do you think it's worth holding on to at this point? I'm not in a major hurry but I don't want to go back to my initial acquisition price either. Your wise counsel would be appreciated.
Q: Can you provide the names of promising Canadian companies or REITS that provide housing(retirement communities, nursing homes, etc.) and related services for seniors?
Robert
Q: Hey Peter, I was checking out EH, Easy Home as a possible investment. At the bottom of their Easy Home Financial website they list their APR (Annual Percentage Rate) as 46.96%. If you borrowed 500 bucks from them after a year you would have payed 234.80 in interest!!!
Let alone being completely unethical, how is it even legal to loan money to people at that exorbitant rate. I can't invest in a company that abuses people like that. comments?
Q: Hi Peter
What is your opinion of Harbour DSC 890 fund? My daughter has been contributing to it for many years and I would like to see her set up a self directed account with ETF's. She has no other investments at this time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for all you do.
