Q: Hello 5i:
Very interesting, in-depth article on BEP today. The author has gone into great detail (more detailed than 5i's report), both positive and negative on the company. Yes, he likes it, with high praise for management, execution and target shareholder returns. IF you're thinking of investing in BEP, or if you need a utility, please read this. Q: Watch PHM and they now have stopped trading again. What gives?
With regard to CXI it is very volitile, and I was wondering if it might have something to do with Greece.

Many thanks

Q: A couple weeks ago I bought half of a planned 2% of portfolio position in POT, at a bit above $39. Hoped to buy the other half a little lower, but it has fallen more than I expected and I have not bid further. Would you suggest adding the other 1% at current prices, or just stay at 1% for now? This is being bought for sector diversification and income. How secure is the dividend?

Thank-you

Q: I reviewed the additional information in the press release by Loyalist related to Tuition Fee Revenue and Deferred Revenue for Q4 2014 and Q1 2015. It showed combined Total in Q4 2014 of $17.4 (Deferred $9.7) million versus combined Total Q1 2015 of $$20.0 (Deferred $12.5) million an increase in total of $2.6 million quarter over quarter. They also stated that 57% of the deferred revenue at Q1 2015 will recognized in Q2 2015 and 28% in Q3 2015. Isn't this mainly a timing of matching revenue with expenses? Isn't the market over reacting perhaps because this information was not included in the first press release? If not, What am I missing?

Q: Good afternoon,

I am underwater on this stock. I know the dividend is good and safe. The company does not seem to do very much to counter the crtc decision that I am aware of. Do you know something that is affecting the stock negatively lately?

Thanks

Q: I'm considering adding one of these to my portfolio. D.UN has the higher yield but has significant exposure in Alberta. DRG.UN has significant exposure to one tenant, Deutsche Post. Which do you consider the better investment and why ? Both appear to be trading midway between their year high and low Or do you feel another REIT would be a better choice for safety and yield ?

Q: Hi ...can you help with a sector and diversification question? I appear to be out of balance with 30% of the portfolio allocated within the financial sector. The stocks involved are BNS, RY, SLF, BLK, GS, CXI, BRK.B. Equal weight.
So there are two banks, one insurance company, two financial services companies, one currency exchange operation and I am not sure how to classify Berkshire Hathaway. A holding company?
Do you think I am overweight in financials? Would all of these stocks go down if the financial sector stumbled? They seem to be quite different operations to me. I am reluctant to cut back on these stocks as they are all doing well. Maybe BRK.B could be cut but it is the least financial of all of these I think.
Any way thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Q: Hi , I have an inheritance of $445,000 and I would like to invest in an aggressive growth portfolio for the long term. Assuming I follow a max of 5% per position, 100% equity (I have FI in another portfolio), what would be your top 5 stocks? As a filter, I would like to see dividends in those positions but it's not mandatory, any industry (except O&G) and I'm a patient investor.
