Q: We have 2 RRSP portfolios 2 TFSA portfolios 1 locked in pension plan portfolio which I manage. I have recognized that there are different tax implications for the investments in each type of account and have invested accordingly to suit.I'm now drawing income from our investments and work with my accountant to withdraw as tax efficiently as possible.The question I have is would you manage these accounts as a separate portfolio in each account or as one overall portfolio when looking at percentage allocation of a Stock,ETF,or Fixed Income.

Q: My son is currently 39 years old and is trying to develop a solid diversified portfolio. All of his holdings are in his RRSP except for some money in a Tangerine International growth fund which is in his TFSA. He has some new funds to add to his holdings. Could you please recommend some companies from your model portfolios that would add more diversification to his portfolio keeping in mind his relatively long investment horizon. We are giving our 3 grandchildren $5000.00 each, so they can each open a TFSA account. Our intention is to give them the same amount for the following three years.
Considering the size of the deposit, and the fees for the accounts, your recommendation on where to open the accounts and what to buy inside the accounts would be greatly appreciated.

Q: Hi,

My wife has $10000 funds available for her TFSA. She's looking to buy RioCan her reason being is it has a good yield and good source for income. Do you any alternatives you think better than this stock that fits for an TFSA account which can give a good yield and the same time growth and stability.

Q: I am curious as to your current thoughts on Red Eagle? Now that they have reached commercial production, their current presentation states that they are trading at 3.1x 2017 Cash Flow, compared to a peer average of 11.6x implying a 73% discount.

Aside from this, they have lots of expansion potential at their current mine, and have three other prospects in the wings with lots of cash. What am I missing?

Q: Good day...I am lucky enough to have a fairly large portfolio that is 70% in your balanced portfolio and 10% in various growth and income stocks you have in the other two portfolios. I also have 20% of my portfolio in u.s. stocks. My question is whether or not I should have any emerging market exposure or are the companies in your three portfolios have enough already. I look forward to your thoughts on this...
