Q: Dear 5i
What are your thoughts on KLS at this time ? Is it a good time to invest in this company and are they expecting good earnings growth over the next couple years ?
Also what sector is currently the strongest in the U.S. And what ETF would you recommend within that sector . Looking for high growth .

Q: My question is regarding base metals. do you think this business cycle will unfold like most other cycles where the base metals will run strong in the later innings.did you ever see a bull market of this magnitude not have the base metals participate ? any other insights regarding this subject would be appreciated .it would seem like now would be the time to start nibbling at good base metal stocks ie Hudbay, Lundin ,FM etc because the downside is limited and everyone and my dog hates this sector . thanx norm

Q: Hi Peter,
I've heard you say in the past a healthy buy signal for a company is when it announces its first dividend. In keeping with buy signal strategy, what sort of signals are the professionals looking for when they start buying oil equities? What would you consider a buy signal in the oil patch? My concern is that the non-professionals almost always are too early or too late which kills return. Thank you for your time.

Q: According to INK Company Insider, there has been some insider buying. Hamptom Securities and Beacon have apparently been buying. Given the release of their new sports app which looks pretty good, I wonder if I could get your comments on the company for the next 12-18 months?

Impressed to see them raise 23M dollars for a start up tech fund listed on the TSX-V. What do you know (or think) of the players involved (SSK Planet, Stanford University, JJR Private Capital). Q: I'm planning to open 5 positions in the US.....growth stocks that are larger caps and more invest and monitor. Seems relative to Canada, the US sector focus would be tech, health care and consumer. To help me narrow the focus of my research, I would appreciate some names you might consider.

Q: Hello, should we begin to worry a bit about CSU exploding to P/E at 64 and P/B at 24? Is this a bubble waiting to burst or is it within the acceptable range for the sector? I am considering taking some profit to reduce my exposure, although CSU represents less than 5% of my portfolio. Thank you for your advice.

I was looking over a press release from Pulse Seismic dated January 19, 2015 reporting preliminary unaudited 2014 financial results. The numbers look surprisingly good and the stock price appears to be steadying up. (part of it may be the share buybacks) I would appreciate your opinion of the numbers contained in the press release and the company's long term prospects, if energy prices firm up. Q: Since September, AHF has lost over half its value, for no obvious reason other than, perhaps, being connected to insider trading in Amaya. In a previous answer (Jan 12), after weighing the pros and cons, you thought the stock was still 'buyable'; given the price depreciation, mustn't it be even more 'buyable' now?
