Q: I am considering investing in the U.S. Financial ETF, ZUB and the U.S. Healthcare ETF, ZUH. Would you agree with these sectors and do you agree with these ETF's or would recommend others?

Q: Can you please give your outlook for oil short term (6months) and longer term (3-5 years). I have hard time to wrap my head around $40 oil assuming supply destruction and the world still growing... Would you know the average or lower cost to produce with current fracking methods ? As many i am down on my oil stocks but don t really feel the need to sell. Thank you for your general comments

Q: Hi. I own this ETF and like it at this stage because it is hedged. Even though our dollar is still going down, I figure that we should be close to the end of the spectrum. What do think of this product? Would you have another product - ETF or mutual fund - to suggest for exposure to the US with the hedge component. As a rule, do US mutual funds managers use hedging? Thanks for the good service.

Q: My question concerns the degree of volatility in a stock market. It is my perception the individual investor has virtually no influence on a stock price. They are simply too small of a player, even in grand total. The market is really controlled by pension funds, hedge funds, mutual funds etc. These are the people who should act rationally. When you see a market go crazy on the down side like this past Monday there had to be a lot of sellers willing to sell at a much lower price than the week before. I ask, who are the sellers? The retail investor wouldn't affect the market and the big players would know better. Please educate me.

Q: Hi 5i team,

At this current time would you side with PLI or NHC as a buy? I currently have CRH, PHM, PLI and CXR all around half positions. I was thinking about selling PLI and increasing my positions in CRH and CXR as they seem to have better stock momentum.

Q: Recently you had quoted in this volatile market, you put in stink bids. If the future is pointing to a lower opening, would it be better to put the bids in before the market open?

With all of the people selling recently, if I was a seller, I would have sold a third of my portfolio for less than I had paid for it. Are a lot of people selling at losses?

Are a lot of these people being forced to sell because they are on margin?

Q: My dad is 65 and will retire in 5 years. He has been 65% invested in bonds until today. He is ready to slowly buy stocks if the correction continues. last week, I bought him two positions: ZPR + National Bank. He likes dividend payers. He also likes the idea of buying stocks that his mutual fund cannot buy, that is, illiquid stocks. (1) How would you rank AW.UN, LIQ.UN, PZA.UN, CHEM.UN (2) Even with the large pullback, LIQ has a PE of 20. If the US fed raises rates and Poloz doesn't, do you expect expensive high yielders such as LIQ to take a hit, or, the opposite, since retirees will still need to seek tax-preferred yield in Canada? Q: I am looking at DDJ, but the shares do not seem to trade very much at all. Also they have a lot of speculative names in their portfolio. On the other hand, the yield is good at 7.6% and the share price has been stable for quite a while. Are there any other good alternatives to HYB.UN that have more liquidity, less speculative names and comparable stability?
