Q: I hold BPY, HR, TCN, REI, CIG and FSV. I have done well with all of them but am now wanting to cull the herd so to speak. It's not that the weighting is high for the group, I'd just like to keep a couple that would offer the best long term (5-10 year) growth opportunity. Can you help me pick 2 or maybe 3 to keep?

Q: I am down huge on BNP (have a 1.5% position after the rough ride the last few years). Sector weightings aside, would you suggest buying BNP or PPY right now or would you avoid natural gas focused companies completely? Thanks!

Q: Having a hard time understanding why Brookfield management remains inactive relative to this truly horrible closed end fund it launched at $10. The value has subsequently drifted down in terms of price and net asset value to the $5 range. Incredibly, the same manager has remained in place since the outset. Very little change in their published holdings although AGF was finally disposed of after substantial capital loss. I bought this partly because of the Brookfield sponsorship. It seems this was totally misguided. In your opinion is there any hope for a restructuring or corporate intervention of some kind. Despite the original 6% yield, now 8%, what would you do with it.

Hello Peter
Could you please suggest several very stable Canadian dividend stocks with dividends in the 4% to 5.5% range, with growing dividends and some possible capital appreciation that are "as safe as the banks" but NOT in the Financials, Pipelines, Utilities, or Telco sectors as we are already overweight in these sectors. You may be hard pressed to find much as I cannot, so I would appreciate your thoughts
