Q: Hi Peter:
I am looking for income
I have positions in Reits including Riocan, CSH.un. H&R
Calloway and a smaller position in Dundee and Granite Reit
the last 2 has taken a bigger hit than the rest of the REITs
If I have more funds coming in to invest, which REIT of the above would you consider to add to ? I have heard of Boardwalk
but unsure if you cover it or not ?
Many thanks! Great show on BNN, Peter gave us alot of very valuable information!
Q: Hi Peter &Team. I've held HNZ Group (HNZ.A) for some time and enjoyed the ride up but didn't enjoy the ride down as much. It's now back to approx where I purchased. Could I please have your general views on this company. It represents approx. 4% of my overall portfolio. Thanks
Q: Recently you gave me your opinion on Fortis and Emera. I am still looking at those and other options. I have Algonquin purchased in 2009 and Brookfield Renewable Energy purchased in 2013. Should I buy more of either of these?
Also what is your opinion of Northland Power. Thanks in advance.
Gary
Q: You last commented on AGF Management in May. The company has been on a tear lately, pays a high dividend, and appears to be very popular with investors. I would appreciate an update. Would it be a good hold in an income portfolio for the long haul?
I am considering adding RIOCAN to my TSFA. It has been beaten up with the REIT sector and looks like a reasonable entry point now. I think Shopping centers are in the cards for the long term, providing a secure revenue stream. The close to 6% dividend is therefore likely sustainable and subject to increases. And lower interest rates seem to be here for some time to come.
Would you recommend RIOCAN, or do you see a preferable name in the REIT sector.
Q: Hi Peter:
Gibson Energy has pulled back from $25 to above $ 22
I bought some for dividends, it this stock a hold, buy or sell?
any particular issues with this stock ?
thanks
Q: Could you make a recommendation for investment of RESP funds. My son is a year old yesterday and the the contributions are relatively small per year (2,500), insufficient to have a balanced position, especially with the relative cost of trade. I currently have the first installment with cpd and although i appreciate the $5/ month divident,, and am going to deposit the next installment in a few months and would like your take. Thanks for the great advice... Aya, stn, bad, csu... Wow.
Q: hi, My porfolio is doing great with your evaluations. My question has to do with trading gold and silver. What would you use to trade these commodities. (Example hgu etc). Thanks again.
Q: Hi Peter and Team. I would appreciate your opinion on Bonnett's Energy, (BT-T) which provides completion and production services to the oil and gas industry. It has a market cap. of 86 million, total return for one year of 47.5% and a five year return of 133%.It's yield is 14.2%. It recently had a big run up. It's growth and yield make it most appealing, but am I missing something? Your comments would be most appreciated. Many Thanks. Bill
