Q: When I compare charts on COS (P/E 12.79 ) and VET ( P/E 21.04 I see more room for COS to improve ( being an underdog ) in spite of it being a heavy oil producer .
1.Do you have any change of thoughts on COS ... is VET a handsdown winner ?
2. Is the dividend at COS sustainable ? .
I noticed that some days there are unusual big numbers of block trades - as per Financial Post - Block trades yesterday. Is there any special reason there were so many trades yesterday.
Q: Can you please give me your comments on BYD.UN earnings. Also the stock opened up nicely and then dropped all trading day. Was there something in the earnings release can may have caused this?
Q: Smartcool[SSC- tsxv] Noted another revenue target identified on Mar.19th which adds to a considerable expansion of distribution centers & direct sales. Products save 15-20% on kilowatt hour usage translating to reduced heating/cooling costs.Given business' focus on cutting power costs is it time to buy in as part of a higher risk segment of a portfolio?
Q: Hi 5i I guess this is a commodities question. Analysts all seem to feel the Cdn. dollar is going to drop quite a bit further over time. Cdn. companies selling commodities at U.S. prices but operating in Cdn. dollars I would think would benefit. But with the Cdn. $ going down does this make a Cdn. company look less desirable to foreign investors Thx Gerry
Q: Hello team 5i. 1)I have followed your advice and rebalanced one of my portfolios between 5% to 8% each. It is my long Term PF. I still have TD in this PF which is 19.18% of my it. It is doing so well, I find it difficult to reduce but alas I know it is wise. What would you suggest (at least 2 or 3 stocks if?) to purchase? 2) With another new portfolio ($50,000.00) which I am about to create thru another bank (I self direct with 2 banks), I would like some good growth for about 6 to 7 months or so and then cash in. I know your Income PF is coming but you did say it will be conservative. Once again thank you for all you do!
Q: GFS - Gasfrac: Still losing money and I didn't see anything to get encouraged about in their results. Now they announce the selling of assets to raise some cash. Seems their assets decline year over year. I've held this company for a couple of years. Is it time to let it go?? Am I missing something.
