Q: What do you think of Zedi (ZED)? They seem to be favourably covered by people who know of it, however in a beaten-down sector and practically invisible in terms of profile. One analyst feels that growth may be explosive internationally. Should I pick some up with a small amount of speculative money? Thanks again.
Q: Hi Peter and team,
Could you please name some TSX listed companies that would benefit from a European recovery, other than autoparts?
Thank you, love your service.
Q: Great-West Lifeco. What is the situation here? There has been a big drop since June this year and it continues to drop further. Any reason to stay away at this point?
Q: Hi Peter
Back on August 26, 2013 a question re. BK shares was asked and your comments showed that you had no attractiveness in this fund. Today the fund is going to change their distribution policy and increase the class A share distribution by 42%. Does this make BK more attractive now.
Q: Hi Team, BXE (Bellatrix) seems to be the "darling" of Bay street. All analysts have hiked their target prices and portfolio managers are calling it a top pick on BNN. Many seem to think that $10 is around teh corner. This makes me weary.Would you share your thoughts? Thanks,
Q: My question is on Limited Partnerships. I only one one and I am interested in taking a postilion in another. The one I own is Suburban Propane Partners LP SPH. It pays a good dividend but I am taxed a non resident 35% withholding tax on it. Does all US traded LPs charged that withholding tax on dividends for Canadian residents? I would like to take a position in BEP.UN and is wondering if there will be a withholding tax on the dividend since it is a Limited partnership? I am assuming any LPs on the TSE will not have a withholding tax for Canadians. Can you confirm or correct me?
Q: XBB has dropped and has been a good long term hold for fixed income. Is this a good entry point to buy this ETF? If not, could you please recommend an alternative ETF that would perform better when interest rates rise?
Q: IPL: announced bought deal 11M+ shares @$25.15 ea yesterday to pay bank debt and finance their expansion at oil sands site? I assume the interest savings on the retired bank debt will be offset by the increased dividend payments to the holders of the additional shares? Have you worked the numbers yet and have any idea on the impact of this transaction on the balance sheet and increasing dividends going fwd? Is this stock a buy now or do you see a bit more downside-CIBC has a $28.00 target?
