What do you think of Rio Tinto? I have been holding it for some time and am wondering whether I should continue or if I should bail out since it hasn't performed well.

Q: I liked your 18 Dec answer to the question about Ford Equities sell recommendations. They had a sell on Pembina Pipeline earlier this week, after which my 900 shares popped up from $34.52 to $36.47 as of yesterday. Nice work Ford, I'll keep an eye out for your 'sells'! - Ted

Q: goodday, ive held MUX for several yrs. most of the shares were bought at 4.50, participated in the rights issue @ 2.30 plus,and today there at 1.90 or so. they are probably a victim of tax-loss selling and just a terrible 2013 for gold and silver.iwant to avg. in again before tax-loss season is over. good/bad idea. I plan to hold this stock forever if I have to.

Q: My renewal is due sep 25/14
If I pay for 2 additional years at 86.95 I assume my renewal

Q: Hello 5i Team,

As TFSA 'season' comes upon us in a few weeks, I'm wondering if an article discussing what should and should not be placed in a TFSA. My thinking is along the theme basis versus individual stocks. For example dividend paying energy stocks or industrial REITS, or consumer staples...

At this time of the year such advice would allow each of us to do some research into possible additions to the TFSA or increasing an existing stock.

Q: Closed end funds Noticed a Q on where to get NAV for Closed end funds. Best place I found is Globe and Mail. It is updated at least once a week.
