Q: Could I gave your thoughts on HNZ.A pursuant to yesterday's share price drop as a result of their announcement on the Afghanistan contract. Would you consider this a buying opportunity or should I wait for the 3rd quarter results on Nov 12th. Thanks.

Do you have an opinion regarding the potential purchase of General Chemical Corp by Chemtrade (CHE.UN). In particular I would want to know if this is positive for Chemtrade, or should I consider trimming?

Q: We have a 4% weighting in HNZ.A. While they seem a well managed company there seems to be a problem in the industry. They took a hit today on loss of defense contracts. I'm thinking of selling to buy CSX. I want to increase our US exposure but still be in the transportation sector. A couple of days ago you wrote an article about the value of dividend paying companies and HNZ.A does pay a higher dividend than CSX. CSX I suppose should have more stable earnings. Any suggestions on what to do?

A second question...does it make sense to sell RBC & PWF to buy AEM? We are overweight in financials with no exposure to gold or material stocks except LIF. The banks and insurance companies seem to be on a roll so I hesitate to sell them. I know you recommend Goldcorp but I like AEM because of their dividend, increasing gold production per share and I think they recently beat analyst's estimates. Our weighting in RBC & PWF is 4%

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I am sitting on a 150% gain in HNZ Group (HNZ.A), but the current yield does not seem to adequately reflect the risk in the company and the share price has not been performing well of late. Would you suggest selling the position and, if so, could you recommend an alternative?

Q: I submitted a question regarding portfolio management a few days ago and my thought is that you may not have received it. My question had to do with the number of positions one should hold as the size of your investment portfolio grows. That is, would 20 holdings be appropriate for any sized investment portfolio or is there a point where additional holdings should be considered. Thanks for your help.

Q: In 2012, South American Silver (SAC) had its mining license revoked by the Bolivian government, sending it, this past July, to a four-year low. Since then, however, the stock has done very well; is this just speculation on the chance of favourable arbitration, or increasing recognition of the value of its other mining properties?

Q: AYR NYSE-leases planes-high ROE, good dividend with low payout ratio, low PE; but, high debt-last several months started to go up-still way below highs before market meltdown. Issued shares recently-private placement. Is this a good investment for the USD portion of my portfolio??

Q: Just a follow up on an earlier question about BNP, Bonavista. I added to my position a month ago thinking the seasonal trend would show improvement in the price into the new year and then I could reconsider my longer term ownership (I am underwater). The price of Gas hasn't appreciate but it could still be early from a seasonal standpoint. The sell off in BNP could be a combination of stagnant gas prices and tax loss selling. I'm keeping with my thesis for the time being and hopefully cold weather and the end of tax loss selling will see a bump in the stock price in early Jan.
Your thoughts on my thoughts?
What's your opinion on Gas prices over the next 2-3 years?
