Q: Entrec has recently announced their business plan. Currently represents 2% of my portfolio. I am a long term investor and wondering if I should exit my position or hold. Would appreciate your thoughts on the company's future prospects.

Q: Could you please update me on Sierra Metals, I bought some about 1 1/2 years ago after asking you about it. It has fallen a lot today and in checking out I see a lot of negative comments about Alberto Arias (chairman and big shareholder) the comments are about his involvement with the Brazil Colossus mine where he was involved. Are the comments (on stock house billboard fair or just a disgruntled ex shareholder mad about loosing $) the stock looks good to me on Thompson Stockreports+. Thanks (Should I dump it or buy more).
Q: Good Morning Peter, Ryan, and Team,
My wife has Glentel shares in her RRSP account which, incidently, closely mirrors your Income Portfolio. Fortunately I had not yet purchased BCE shares for her account so the takeover of Glentel by BCE worked out great. Should she elect to receive all BCE shares in the hopes that, at the very least, she will get half shares and half cash ??? I really value your opinion on this subject. Thank you very much. DL

Q: Regarding Evertz Technology: Frances Horodelski mentioned it in the morning as a rumor or as listed by someone as a possibility of it being removed (same with High Liner Food).
Q: Just a comment to confirm that ET is removed fr the Can.Div.Aristocrats index
Q: I heard today on BNN that it is being removed from the Cdn Dividend Aristocrats ETF
Q: Why would Imperus halt the stock just to announce that they paid a 2nd installment to Vast? Is there more here than meets my eye, or was this an unnecessary halt? Would this account for why the stock was stronger the last week?
Q: What is happening with ET, as it has dropped a bit this week? I am considering buying as it is in your income portfolio.
Q: Down appreciately recently. Rumors of cash raise. Would it be a move to sell and look to pick up at discounted price when capital raise announced? Do you have overall update of going forward potential?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I realize this may be outside your coverage universe but here goes. I am initiating a position in ANFI. This Indian foods producer has plummeted and yet seems reasonable by all relevant metrics. Moreover they would seem to have some structural tail winds. They look like a true value proposition in a somewhat pricey equity environment. I see no cogent reason for a 50% loss in share value. Your thoughts are appreciated.
Q: Hello,
I was doing tax loss sale in December and you suggested replacing TCK.B with FM. As you were recommending this stock before (and as a better company than TCK.B), I replaced TCK with FM but the stock started going south rather rapidly. It is about 3% of my portfolio and I am now down about $10K on this stock since my purchase on Dec 11. I am wondering whether I should patiently wait for recovery (I noticed that you added FM to model portfolio), sell it and take a loss, swap back to TCK.B. etc. What do you recommend? What are your short term and long term projections for this stock?
Thanks.

Q: Sensing 5i's eroding confidence in Surge, I have sold my shares (even though you have recently suggested holding). Now I have zero allocation to the energy sector. I want to get back in on more solid ground. Can you suggest two stocks and a methodology for easing back in? Your persistence in recommending a full and proper sector allocation has been so valuable that the strategy has more than balanced out the loss in Surge. Yet I know I need to get back into energy. Thank you, don't know what I'd do without you guys.
Q: In looking at the most recent results from SYZ it would appear that the stock is trading at 10x sales and an EV/EBITDA of over 25x. Do you not find this expensive for a company that only grew its EBITDA by 15% last year?
Q: SYZ is getting pounded today. would you say further negativity from the most recent earnings report? You mention it was decent and are optimistic about future growth... however, it's down nearly 15% right now. possibly, insiders selling? would you revise forecasts further down given their proximity to Alberta oil.
Q: I just received notice of offerings for FCR @ $19.80 and CUF.UN @ 19.65
I hold both of these and am only recently above water on them ...I seem to recall buying Cominar as an offering not long ago ... Are these healthy investments - should I buy more, should I be concerned , or should I wait and see ???
Thanks

Q: Greetings
Given that oil runs like a thread through so much economic activity and is now of course is priced much lower. It seems likely to me that reported inflation with be far less than the 2% strived for by so many Governments despite worldwide money printing. If Gold is viewed as a hedge against inflation and inflation is lower than expected then it stands to reason Gold will pull back in time. Does this thesis have any merit and is the recent rise in the Gold price merely reflective of uncertainty and volatility in markets.
Your opinion is appreciated!

Q: Packaging stocks in Canada have been very good to me. I see OI has not been good on the US side. What do you think of this stock and the USA side of this sector at this point?

Q: Where can one find the TSX total return which includes dividend income?
Q: I would like to invest in consumer staples, with good dividends. Is there an ETF with currency hedging which you would recommend?
