Q: Re your advice to Lois today.You suggest moving this stock to get the div tsx cdt I thought all Cdn capital gains and dividends were tax free in the TFSA. Pls clarify

Q: AHF has finally revealed what we long suspected with respect to 1/ its ridiculous dividend policy and 2/The loss of IA Clarington. Management, notably spinmaster CEO, and a languorous board look especially pathetic. Comment?

Q: Hello 5i
I wondered if you could give me a brief explanation of how CSU manages their debt structure. Looking at their balance sheet it appears odd to me that they have so much short term debt and not enough current assets or earnings to cover it. I do see where they have issues debentures as a source of capital, but I would just like a better understanding of how they are currently funding their debt and how it will be done going forward.

Abb-(us) 13%
BB -(cdn) 2%
BDI -(cdn) 3%
GOGO -(us) 8%
MG -(cdn) 39%
MBT-(cdn) 8%
PWF-(cdn) 15%
cash 12%
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Q: Good morning on this cold winterday...hope you are all thinking warm thoughts...Bombardier suspended its dividend.( Naiive question...Is a suspension as bad as a cut?) I happen to hold a tidy sum in this stock...I bought it low, so I am wondering if I should just hang on...its train section is quite good. Do you think that they will split into two separate companies..train and plane? Your insight is appreciated as always. Thank you Tamara

Q: Hello 5i,
In your recent report you mention the all in sustaining
cost per ounce of gold was estimated to be $918 while the "all in" cost is $525 (recent past 9 months). What's the difference here in "costs"?

Q: I am trying to build a portfolio (total size about $110k) finally after 13 years of playing blindly and losing money every year and I am trying to flirt with diversification as well with positions ranging from 1% to 6%(excluding any financials and SIN stocks for religious reasons).
