Q: hi 5i, my question has to do with CZN - Canadian Zinc but at the same time insider trading. according to INK, on Mar 24 the CEO J F Kearney did some fairly sizeable insider trading. can you explain what transpired yesterday. and also how should a current shareholder view this type of action as it pertains to investing in general. also maybe in the future devote a section of your services on how to read insider trading. thanx norm

Q: peter - A few months ago I took a small position in Neulion(nln) and recently noted that their results for the last quarter were very good. My investment small as it was is up 63% What do you think of this company. Would they be a likely company to partner with Rogers when they make a decison in this area ie enablement of on-line content for internet connected devices? If so, I might consider adding some more shares. thanks for this great service.

Q: I've been watching MBC (MBAC fertilizer) slowly decline for the last 6 months till it fell 10% today. I realize the sector is out of favour but is there something i"m not seeing. Just getting into production have some good properties, Brazil needs fertilizer, good location, even a possibility of Rare earth production. I don't mind waiting for a sector change. Your opinion please?

Q: Smartcool[SSC- tsxv] Noted another revenue target identified on Mar.19th which adds to a considerable expansion of distribution centers & direct sales. Products save 15-20% on kilowatt hour usage translating to reduced heating/cooling costs.Given business' focus on cutting power costs is it time to buy in as part of a higher risk segment of a portfolio?

Q: Data Group's year-end results report substantial impairment charges against what look like not-so-bad revenues; supposing the write-down is a one-time charge, does this justify the recent price appreciation? Or is DGI still too ham-strung by its legacy business units? Even Yellow Pages came back from the dead.

Q: Last fall you felt NPK was dead money, however they recently announced government funding assistance to get their Brazilian Potash mine into development. They are close to a major farming area where most of the potash must currently be imported. Since the funding announcement the stock price has taken pretty wild swings. What would your current outlook for this company be?

Thanks

Q: Hi Peter and 5i: I am looking at including a selection of convertible debentures in a reasonably diversified RESP that will likely not be used for education funding until at least 2022. I'd like to get the principal back, eventually, and to collect a decent interest rate within the tax-deferred RESP. I am more interested in using them to offset common equity risk from the stocks' side of the portfolio and less interested in their potential upside from the convertability aspect. Converts that seem unlikely to be converted sometimes appear to offer a decent deal on the yield side. But of course I don't want to enter any situations where there is a substantial chance of default by the issuer. With all that in mind, could you please give me your comments on Firm Capital's FC.DB.D? Thanks very much!
