Q: Hi Peter and Team, regarding Connacher, CLL, I just read that Garry Mihaichuk has been an independent director of the company since 2012 along with Glen D. Roane since this year, 2014, and that both are also currently on Badger Daylighting's, BAD, board as well, very interesting, any thoughts on these two individuals and how they can contribute to CLL's turn around considering their contributions to BAD's success?
Also, any thoughts on Gregory A. Boland, another independent director of CLL since 2012? He focuses on value and distressed investing and assists in restructuring companies. He seems to have a lot of skin at stake in CLL with 50 million shares owned or controlled?
Have you met or do you know any of the above mentioned individuals? Thanks!

Q: Hello Peter and Team. I have owned WCP since July, 2013 (with help from your advice). There has been 2 dividend increases and I am up over 30% since then. My weighting is about 6.5% now. With the recent gains, should I take a little off the table, or wait until it is a higher portion of my overall portfolio? Lots of good news and an exciting stock for sure. Thanks for your insights!

Q: Hello Peter,

What are your thoughts on Savanna Energy (SVY)? Good time to sell? It is hovering around $8.75 right now and I don't see much growth potential in the future.

Thanks,

Q: Hello Peter,
Can I have your view on the recent thumping ( down 10+% in a day) of PRE on the heels of its Q1 report? I feel the fundamental metrics seem positive, despite the company`s involvement in a geopolitically risky environment. I was initially planning to hold my position in PRE for a 2-3 years.
Thank you Peter!

Q: I took a flyer on PRY and have lost most of my capital at this point. Though I am modestly cheered by some insider purchases in the last few weeks, I think I am ready to seek greener pastures. Do you have any reasons I might want to reconsider sale at this point? Thanks for a great service!

Q: Hi: The gas and oil sector has been on fire lately. It is also a volatile sector. I own Whitecap (WCP), Bellatrix (BXE), Baytex (BTE), Vermillion (VET) and Tourmaline (TOU) in a balanced portfolio but they have had a great increase. Should I reduce each position in half or do I have too many energy stocks and maybe I should keep two or three (which ones) and sell the others (which ones)? Your advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Dave.

Q: Crescent Point Energy is a name I've held for just over 2 years now. I was essentially even prior to the deal being announced yesterday in terms of stock price but had collected 6.5% per year in dividends. I am curious on the 5i Teams' opinion on CPG's acquisition.

On first blush I was disappointed to see them issuing shares yet again and swore I'd sell if they did that. However, my rough calculations show that, even with the share issue, they should generate more cash flow per share. So maybe its not so bad?

I'd love your thoughts!

Q: I own WCP and have been considering buying POU & TOU as they were Eric Nuttall's top picks on BNN on April 17th but I am timid to do so as the RSI Index indicates that they are way over bought. He didn't think this was of concern as he says there has been huge demand for Canadian Oil & Gas stocks by US companies. Could I have 5I's thoughts on purchasing now are wait for a better opportunity? He also said he was 20% in cash?? Thanks, Bill

Q: Hi 5i team,
I am getting very close to aligning my portfolio with the Model portfolio, and note that I am overweight in energy stocks. I hold BAD, BDI,BEP.UN, FRC,CVE, ENB, and PEY for a total of 19.8% of my stocks. My tech holdings are at 16.3. Which of my energy stocks would you sell in order for me to better balance my holdings? I plan to redeploy the cash to pick up the model portfolio stocks I don't yet have FSV, CSS, and possibly STZ.
