Q: What is your view regarding Strategic Oil & Gas(SOG)which trades on TSX Venture exchange - Insiders bought after price dropped over 50%.?
Q: Would appreciate your take on three non drill bit energy services companies: Pason PSI (instrumentation), Secure SES (waste treatment) and Canadian Energy CEU (drilling chemicals) relative to Black Diamond BDI. Technically all four are all above their 50 day MA and all have excellent gains in the last 12 month period ranging from approximately 65-155%. What is your evaluation based on their financial health, growth prospects, etc?
Q: Hello Peter and team
In your new Growth Portfolio, your weighting appears to me to be 25% Technology, only 5% Energy and 15% Basic Materials. I am weighted 11.5% Technology with CSU,ESL, MDA, and SYZ. 16% energy with VET, PEY,and BDI. VET and BAD are over just over 8% because of gains and split. My Basic Materials weight is 9% with G and RUS. Should I be reducing Energy to increase Basic Materials and Technology? My other weightings seem in line.
Would appreciate your comments. Regards Kathy

Q: Hi Peter and 5I Team;
Would you please share an opinion on Western Zagros (WZR), considering the latest results release? There seems to be good prospects for the future, but how long into the future? Would it be better to wait until there is production before investing? Do you also have an opinion on the huge amount of outstanding shares?
Thank You

Q: I would like to invest in a gas driller and/or a gas services company to take advantage of the current positive environment in natural gas. I am particularly interested but not limited to companies in North Eastern BC. Thank you in advance.

Q: Hello Team
I would appreciate your opinion on IMO now. Past opinion was just OK. I read today that Ford Equity sees it as a strong buy but what would you say? I own it (4.8%) but want to sell it to buy FLOT or XHY (I want some U.S. exposure). I have bought SGY and own Enbridge and Fortis (Utilities but are they considered energy partly?)
thanks for all you do

Q: Hi, could you please comment on the new news release on Spartan? Does this now justify the current share price and leave room for growth, or do you still see the price getting ahead of the company and think there will be consolidation?
Q: Crescent Point Energy is up approx $4 to $5 in the last week. I read today that they have hit a productive spot in SE Sask. Would this account for the rise or are there other factors at work in CPG? Thks in advance.

Q: Looking at getting into TOU or WCP .WCP has a 4.8% dividend. Both have had a very good run the last three months. Is it better to wait for a sector pull back or do they still have room to run. Of the two which is the better for a two year hold.
Q: Hello 5i Team
I would appreciate knowing if holders of the Baytex Recipts BTE.R when converted to BTE at the end of June 2014 will receive dividends back to when the receipts were paid for or will the holders only start receiving monthly dividends when the conversion take place? Thanks for the excellent reporting you are doing.

Q: Hearing a lot of talk lately about Prairie Sky royalty. Would you have any idea when this IPO is going to be issued? Many thanks, Helen
Q: Natural Gas producers like Peyto and Painted Pony have had a really good run of late. Do you feel there is still a fair bit of upside?
What are the leading factors that drive natural gas exploration and producing stocks? Is it more than just the unit price of the product? Do you feel location of the primary production plays a part? i.e. Sask. vs. NW BC etc.
Thanks for such a great service!
Phil

Q: Hi Peter and Staff. I visit your site daily and ask questions rarely because so much is covered in other members questions and in your answers and reports. This is a general question re cash flow. How is it calculated? For example if a small oil company in Alberta was doing 20 000 BOE daily and oil was priced at $90 and they had a net back of $40 with 200 million shares out, how would their cashflow be calculated. (I assume netback means what they clear after costs). Thank you for your valuable service. Joe
Q: Hello Peter and Co
Your revised equity portfolio has shed Tourmaline and replaced it by Black Diamond (same general sector) + in one of your recent responses you state Painted Pony and Peyto; does this imply that I should sell my TOU shares?
Thanks

Q: I am way under water on ECA , because I own a lot of it which was bought at the peak . As you know the market doesn't care what I paid .
Do you know if PrairieSky Royalty ( an initial public offering form Encana ) is going to erode ECA stock value ? This could get bloody - It appears that we should be lining up for PrairieSky Royalty and dumping Encana ...

Q: Peter and Team,
Do you have an opinion on buying shares in the Encana royalty spin-off, Prairie Sky? It seems like its a good way to buy productive land and generate a dividend from it with risk only in commodity prices. Your thoughts?
