Q: What is your opinion of Alexco Resource. If it is positive, then what is a reasonable entry price for their stock. Thanks Larry
Q: MMP.UN
The manager is a great stock picker in the gold space and from what I can see they have never discontinued payments. If you lay the 5 year weekly of the HUI over MMP.UN they are very similar. It looks like an interesting way to play a rise in gold shares, with a huge yield (currently 17%). Current NAV is $6.18 - units are trading for about $7.00. With tax loss selling in full swing in the gold space - would you recommend this one for investors interested in gold + yield?
Thanks so much for your time!

Q: I have heard different opinions. Is MNT a good way to hold phsical gold? Thank you for your guidance.
Q: Is MUX a buy at this time. Great advice and info, thanks
Q: Further to the previous questions on gold, I understand that you prefer senior gold companies over junior ones; and prefer dividend paying gold producers over holding the bullion itself. Given this, I would like to ask how you think a royalty company fits into the mix. As a hedge against inflation, would a royalty company (i.e. Franco Nevada) be preferable to senior gold producer (i.e. Barrick Gold) or would the two types of companies complement one another in this scenario? Thanks.
Q: Hi Peter: Portfolio questions about Gold: In your view, is it necessary to maintain gold exposure all the time (given that the portfolio is small enough to maintain reasonable liquidity and allow one to be nimble) or is it something that one can move in and out of depending on how things are going? In either case, what signs would cause you to increase/decrease exposure? On a percentage of total investments basis, how much gold exposure do you think is appropriate at present and how high or how low could you see that going over the next few years? Can one's gold exposure be expected to provide a good ROI, even if the various things it is supposed to hedge against aren't materializing over the next few years? Finally, what category of gold investments would you favour to provide both the hedge/insurance aspect and a decent prospect of a return in the meantime. Thanks!
Q: What is your view on RIC since it just made a new low this past friday? Is it a buy here?
Q: Hi Peter, I have equal $ positions in Argonaut Gold (AR.TO) and Rio Alto (RIO.TO). Could you please comment on Q results both companies reported today. Should I trim my position in RIO and buy more AR? Thank you.
Q: Rubicon released news today expanding the zone of F2 and also releasing a few drill results in the sub 1000 meter zone which suggests continued high grade at depth. Any idea why analysts do not really cover the stock and why the market is not reacting favourably. I would imagine that people should be realizing its potential by now especially since it is cashed up, has Lalonde and is expected to pour if everything goes well in 2014.
Thanks

Q: Hi 5i. Your thoughts on Pan American Silver. How would they do in the short term?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Your thoughts on CDM's precipitous decline? Obviously last quarter results don't look as good but is the stock price decline an over reaction?

Q: Mandalay Resource (T.MND). Peter and Company would you be able to give me your thoughts and long term projections for Mandalay Resource. Your former collegaues have a large position and yesterday they announce the initiation of a dividend. Thank you in Advance
Q: Now that obama has been elected - I like gold. What junior/mid cap companies would you recommend, A number of them have pulled ahead after QE so I am finding it harder now to evalute which ones have the best growth potential for the next 12 months. Thanks.
Q: Peter: I would love your opinion on Argonaut Gold (AR). I have a nice profit in this stock and I wonder if it is time to take a profit> Thanks.
Q: Hi Peter/Team,
GQC has had some bad drill results. Do you think they can come out of this and there still is a chance it could be a 2 or 5 bagger stock if gold prices stay firm.

Q: Great work Peter! I'd appreciate your comments on Allied Nevada Gold (ANV-TSX). Should I continue to hold it in my precious metals portfolio?
Q: Hello, I have shares in McEwen Mining Inc. MUX, they had a news release last week as follows:
"we conducting two concurrent rights offerings because we have two classes of shares: common shares of McEwen Mining ("Common Shares"); and shares of Exchange Co. that are exchangeable on a 1-for-1 basis into Common Shares ("Exchangeable Shares"). The Rights Offerings will provide that holders of Common Shares and Exchangeable Shares will participate on an equal and proportional basis with other holders of the same class of shares in purchasing additional shares of the same class of shares at a considerable discount to the current listed price."
Should I subscribe to this? Please explain?
Thank you very much.

Q: Primero's (P) numbers look great, and Charles Oliver named them a top pick today. But why did the company replace a convertible with equity on July 26, effectively issuing shares to Goldcorp at #3.74/sh, taking their ownership from 35% to 41%? And why did Goldcorp sell shares to the market on Sept 18 for $5.25/sh reducing its holding from 41% to 32% (looks like the 32% must be held until Aug '13 under a lock-up agreement). What do you think these insiders know that is pronpting them to sell at these prices?
Q: I am considering either FNV or SSL for a gold streaming hold. Which do you prefer?
Charles
