Q: Hi Team,

With a possible recovery in gold and silver bullion and stocks do you have any guidance on what percentage of an investment portfolio and of total net worth "should" be invested in this sector? Some suggest 5 or 10 percent of assets. do you agree? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and the 5i Team,

Last night Michael Bowman was on BNN. He suggested holding gold bullion e.g. the CGL ETF instead of holding a gold miner such as Goldcorp. Yet when I plot returns over various time periods, G has done better than CGL and other gold bullion ETFs. I know that 5i recommends holding some gold in every portfolio (specifically Goldcorp) and presently I don't own any gold at all. What is your take on Mr. Bowman's gold strategies? If a portfolio is approximately 300K, would a 5% gold weighting be too much because of the volatility? Thanks for providing such a terrific service.

Any ideas on SGC.V Sunridge Gold this is Grandichs take on things?

Sunridge Gold- I’ve heard from more than one pass reliable source that the Chinese have greatly increased their interest in mining worldwide and in particular Eritrea. When pressed, SGC management clams up except to say numerous companies worldwide are looking at them and have signed confidentially agreements. I’m extremely bias but I think this is one junior to own ASAP for speculators.

Q: ANV(bond) I own the allied nevada 8.75% bond which matures in 2017. It's only 2.5% of my portfolio, but can I expect to continue getting the interest payments and my cash back at maturity? And given the current cost of the bond, would a further investment be at all prudent?
