Q: Hello Peter What your take on this deal I for one find it hard to understand The only thing I feel certain the stock is going to drop tomorrow ,

Q: News today regarding the debenture issue. Could you comment please on the investability and the reasons for such a vehicle. That is, floating rate based on CPI with 25 year maturity.
Q: I know you have expressed your own frustartions with this stock. Me too! So -
Decision time for me: -27% (-22% factoring in the dividend).
With WIN very near its 52 week low, do you see any upside catalyst that might generate a significant pop (10% or more) that would justify buying more. The charts suggest that it is very oversold - therefore a tempting buy.
Or would you recommend selling WIN and investing elsewhere; and if so do you have a strong recommendation?
Q: Davis & Henderson has clearly been a good pick for you. After such a climb and noting a very high dividend payout ratio (vs EPS) would start a new position at this point?
Q: When an analyst says something like, "20% growth expected this year and 22% next year," does that mean the share price is expected to increase that much? By they way, I'm quoting from Stockchase in reference to Robert McWhirter's recent evaluation of his BNN Top Pick, Constellation CSU. Also, do you agree with McWhirter's opinion on Constellation's growth? Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter and Team
With the current correction in acq this morning would this be a good time to enter into this stock with a half position. Have read your reply from yesterday, and looking for your thoughts.
Marc
With the new Crtc rules set to take effect in march 2016 would you change your view on Dhx or stay the course. We have a 2 % position in a well diversified portfolio.
Q: WHY MY BROKER DID NOT FILL MY ORDER??
This morning I placed a buy order for aw.un with a limit of $28.11 for 75 shares. The order was placed at 12.13 PM. My broker did not fill my order claiming all sorts of excuses such as 75 is an odd lot or the stock is illiquid.
Here are the trades noted from the chart of another broker for aw.un after I placed my order:
12:45 PM 200 shares at $28.10
1:15 PM 600 shares at $28.10
1:20 PM 1,200 shares at $28.10
1:40 PM 109 shares between $28.07 - $28.20
3:00 PM 474 shares between $27.99 - $28.18
3:40 PM 25 shares at $28
3:55 PM 600 shares at $28.00
Please advise me whether my broker is justified in not fulfilling my order. As well, can you advise me what to do? I have complained to customer service and was told the stock is illiquid and my order was for an odd lot.
Thank you for your service.
Q: AutoCanada reported after hours. It looks very good to me, what do you think? Adjusted net earnings per share increased by 23% to $2.24 from $1.82. Same store revenue increased by 8.9%. Same store gross profit increased by 7.9%. And in 2015, they filed for a normal course issuer bid to repurchase shares. What is unclear to me is the outlook. They note that consumer confidence is down and retail volumes was down 9% in January YoY.
Q: I have been wanting to add this business or Bin to my RRSP for a couple of weeks but did not think I had a good or proper entry point.
WSP reported this am, and result are good and the stock has jumped over $1.00, on the other hand BIN has been fairly stable for the past few weeks, coupled with the fact that there was heavy inside trading in the past month.
Could I please have your opinion which would be the better position as well as a dollar entry point.
Both business are excellent in my estimation for long term growth and hold
Q: Hi Peter,
Several days ago I sent in a question about the possible competitive threat for CXI from a new company called EncoreFX which is engaged in the currency exchange business. I have not received a reply to my question and am concerned about buying CXI. If you google EncoreFX there is lots of information about this company. Would you buy CXI at todays price? Thanks, Bill
Q: Can you please tell me the forward P/E and any other metrics that can help me decide to add to my position of SYZ or not. I have less than 2% position in my TFSA. I hold all the stocks in your model portfolio except T and FM at this point. Thank you for your expertise.
I have AYA in a non-registered account and I was thinking of moving it to a registered account.
What do you think about this? Is the growth still on? Any concern about sell off?
