Q: The big 6 Canadian banks are amongst the world's strongest & safest banks.BNS rated 18th in 2012 & 7th in 2013 strongest ,whereas CM is the only one to appear between 2012 to 2015(3rd,3rd,15th & 18th respectively). All @ historical low PE.eg BNS @ 9.7(trailing) & 9.3(forward).Majority of guests on BNN opined that there are short term headwinds plus "short" by Americans, but recommended hold for 2 years or longer. They have generated decent & stable returns over timer expect for last year. Please advise if the negative factors including the effect of sharp drop in oil prices & its knock on effects are priced in.Each stated that the loan exposure to oil is no more than 2% & it is manageabl.,All report next week with BNS on March 1.
Q: Would you still choose BNS if this was the only bank you were to hold or would should suggest another bank? This will be the first stock for a TFSA that has $4000.00 in it and will be holding and adding to it monthly.
Thanks

Q: Exco closed at $14.69 today,Feb. 18, after its announcement of taking over a US company for 83M several days ago.Is it a buy or would I be chasing it at its current price? Thanks as always for saving me from myself on many occasions.
Q: In your reply to Tim, you stated that CSU is actually cheaper on a valuation basis than it has been for some time. I missed it when it was down to $438.00 but today it is about $520.00 a jump of about $82.00 in 10 days. At $520.00 is it still good value?
Q: Hi Peter. Is this a good time to add to my position in Enghouse (ESL). It was soaring a few months ago but has since fallen. Is there a reason for this. All news seems to be good.
Thanks.

Q: I am looking at purchasing more BIN for what I see as diversification in a long term (10 years or more) portfolio. With the recent purchase by a large US company it appears even more attractive to me. However you action in removing it from a model portfolio has caused me to pause in my decision. I would appreciate it if you would provide your rationale for removing BIN. Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter,
So frustrated with this stock. I have held it for years. You seem
to like it very much. reports more and more positive things happening. And after a big downturn and good earnings and a good couple days in the market. Down we are! Watching volume the last couple days. Huge. Are we being held down so some one can buy in cheap?
Thanks as always.

Q: Peter and Team,
I've owned KBL K-bro Linen for three years or so and have seen a nice increase in value and a healthy dividend. Its seems to have plateaued and stayed steady lately (which is fine!) but I am wondering if I could get better return by switching my 4.6% weighting in KBL to CSH instead. Thoughts?

Q: Hi guys. Any red flags with High Liner's results? Is lowering the company's debt levels from 4.4x to 4x from the end of 2014 to the end of 2015 acceptable progress in lowering debt levels?
Lastly, when companies announce share buybacks, they normally say they may purchase up to a maximum number of 5% or 10% of the shares outstanding. Now normally, come the end of the year, most of those same companies dont come anywhere close to fulfilling the maximum number of shares they could have purchased. So given there is no obligation to purchase the maximum number of shares in the NCIB plan, any ideas why would High Liner Foods announce a share buyback program with the ability of only buying 150,000 shares, or 0.86% of the company's float?
Thanks again for your thoughts and insights.
