Q: In my RRSP account, I have SBRCY and LUKOY, which are NYSE-traded ADRs for Russian Sberbank and Lukoil. If the ADRs get delisted from NYSE, will I continue holding shares in these two companies and be eligible for dividends? If the answer is yes, will I still be receiving the dividends through my discount broker (BMO Investorline) or by some other means? TIA!

Q: It’s my understanding that Chinese ADRs listed on the NYSE are in the process of being delisted. I don’t hold any directly but I have ETFs that hold them [IEEE. KGRN]. I’m assuming they will be directly affected. Am I best selling them, or holding them and waiting. How are the ETF companies likely to deal with any Chinese ADRs they hold. I’m sure they will appear in a number of ETFs that are not directly tied to China, for example BYD and BABA. I’d appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for the great service.

Q: Here are two telecom companies...one French and the other Russian. I have herd several experts say that telecoms are not good investments because they always have to reinvest all there free cash and profits in upgrading there equipment and technologies. So is there any advantages in owning them in the next year or two besides the dividend? Would they hold up during a recession? Thanks for your insight which is always helpful.

Q: Hello 5i
Can you comment on this company? It is registered in Australia, but its development has Canadian connection to Dalhousie. Nexgen has also contributed 1.6 million for building Canadian Battery Materials. Philips66 has also taken a 16% interest in the company. Recently they opened a plant in the US to produce high-capacity long-life synthetic graphite anode material. NOVONIX is the only qualified U.S. supplier of the material, which is used in lithium-ion batteries.
I know the stock has increased about 600 % this year. But with all the developments is worth investing in??

Thank you

Steve

Q: Good morning,

I have recently discovered CDR's and would like to hear 5i's opinion of them. I am sure someone would have already asked so feel free to post a link to any answer you've already provided.

A few specific questions I have though, would include a) what benefit does CIBC get for creating these (e.g. seems like the kind of product that would have a mangement fee somewhere, but they don't....) b) is the NEO exchange a legit (e.g. acceredited, safe) exchange - I imagine it is but just want to hear it from you c) do you think they are liquid enough?

Thanks in advance. - Jeff

Q: MKKGY What can you tell me about this company?
Is it related to MRK and, if so, why is the performance so much better.
Most importantly, would you invest in this company?
