Q: my question is regarding Altagas (ALA-T). i purchased it for a core position in my son's account at about $25 and needless to say i'm very happy about the results. the way i understand things is that substantial "ebitda" should occur in the next several years.some of their contracts are very lucrative, long term and inflation protected.i guess management performance will be key to ensure these projects are properly executed . another concern i have is "when" interest rates do rise (and i realize that may several years away), would't a stock like ALA would get lambasted in that environment ? so finally, i'm thinking of buying more, what are your likes and dislikes about this stock. thanx norm

Q: On April 8th, I bought Just Energy (JE) for $6.93/share. At the time I thought the purchase was (iffy) but did so on the basis that 5 insiders had bought a total o 118,272 shares at prices ranging between $6.78 t0 $8.49 during February and March. I am down on my investment and do you think I should sell or hold on? Thanks, Bill
Q: Hi Peter I'm confused. I own IPL.UN I'm up 112% on my investment and my dividend return is 10%. I know you like this pipeline , so here's the question. If I make 10% on my money now
and a possibility of an annual increase of 5% dividend growth and maybe 5% stock price growth why should I sell to keep my balance of approx. 5% average investment in any one stock. My IPL.UN works out to 8% of my portfolio now, but I believe I own a good solid investment and I'm a long term investor.

Q: Hello and Good Day Everyone
I wanted to ask about AFN. The stock has been sliding for a bit and I did not see anything too grievous in the latests results. Is there something else that I am missing? This is a small half position for me that I am using to help out with yield bought in the low 32s.
Much appreciated in advance and please keep up the excellent work!

Q: I know you’re not big on TA (Transalta) and you have commented that it’s only a hold for income. I’ve held TA for 10 years and in that time many have commented that they (TA) do not earn the dividend, however the dividend is supported by the cash flow. It’s been that way as long as I can remember.
Today TA suspended their “Premium Dividend Program”, which I think just allowed shareholders to purchase shares at a discount. Do you see this as a early warning that the cash flow supported dividend might be in jeopardy or is this just a reaction to the stock trading near its 52 week low?
Thanks

Q: LIQ (Liquor Stores) just came out with quarterly earnings that seem on the surface to be decent numbers. However, the bottom lines seems to be eroding with Earnings per diluted shares this quarter sitting at only 6 cents (which is 40% drop from the quarter a year ago). The dividend right now sits at 27 cents, which means the payout ratio is pretty high. Do you think the dividend is secure?
Q: RSI Rogers has dropped to $5.96 so wondering if it is a good buy here? And how do I find out ahead of time about special dividends being paid? Thanks very much. Helen
