Q: I have a question about Bank of Nova Scotia:
Given your last report was published Jun 2013, has anything changed since then? What are your thoughts on the planned divestiture of CI which was factored into your "Growth Plans" section.
Q: REITS
Hi There
Leaving aside sector type and geography, which are the three or four most important financial parameters in assessing a REIT for sustained income and a little growth and what would be the limiting min or max values?
Thanks as always.
Q: Hi Peter/team,u are the experts so could u comment Q results for BSM tech gps/v,and the two acquisitions they just announced, sounds pretty good involving rail cars which seem in vogue these days, stock buy/sell/hold at 2.70sh level, thanks as always
Q: BAD - I have two problems. First, the $7.4M charge represents 33% of cash flow. Second, the DU liability is valued at another $21M as a current liability on the B/S. How do I estimate the cash flow impact of the plan as it continues to vest? Rewarding mgmt for stock performance is great and aligns their interests with mine, but when 33% of the operating cash flow disappears I become a little concerned. Plus I cannot get a handle on the future liability this plan represents.
Q: There has been discussion of the concept of using BRK.B as a low-cost alternative to a US-equity mutual fund. Continuing that theme, are there other companies that take direct ownership in multiple businesses and then issue shares/units for purchase by the public? Can you list some please. Do you recommend any?
Just reading your new LIQ report, and noticed this remark. I hadn't realized there might be verbal interpretations of the high school grades. Is there a section somewhere on what the letter grades might infer?
Or, obviously we should just read the whole report each time to understand the nuances of each situation.
Q: Hello,
I was wondering if I could get your opinion on the growth potential, ideal entry points and long term price for the following companies:
Capstone Mining
Sherrit International
High Arctic Energy
As usual thank you for the excellent service and information.
Dave
Q: 5i Team, I owned Paladin, held my shares, and now own ENDO INTERNATIONAL PLC. Two part question: 1. There seems to be two symbols: ENL.TO and ENDP. I understand that one trades on TSX and one trades in US, but I can't resolve the difference in price and volume. Right now the TSX listing trades at roughly $78 and the US listed roughly $70. Shouldn't TSK be lower, not higher. Also, very dramatic volume differences. I took no action with Paladin shares, so would I now by default own the TSX listed shares? 2. Is the long term outlook for ENDO good enough for me to continue holding them. I have no other health care stocks. I am tempted to sell, but only because I feel a bit lost at sea, now that you no longer cover the new company. If the outlook is decent, I will probably continue to hold.
Thanks
Ditto to all the wonderful comments you get on your service.
Q: Back in December I put a few coins on a speculative play, PHO (Photon Control). Could you please provide comment on their recent ER, and if possible, provide a refresh regarding inside ownership info if available. - Cheers.
