Q: Can you please provide your updated opinions on WEF vs. WFT? Of the two, which one do you like better, and would you buy one of these? My only position in the materials in Stella Jones (about a 7% full position), so would like your thoughts on this. Thank you for a great service!

Q: Friaday all these canadian lumber companies' stock prices jumped up.... but there seems to be NO news to support this... Is there some reson for it : seasonality, or insider information, or some trade news that brokers dont give but that some are privileged to. I am interested in these stocks but would like to know 2 things: how to get advance information IF that is what is driving prices up and how would you rank these companies in term of growth potential, safety, and best overall gains for the next 6 months or longer.. also what factors should one assess to fortell the success of gains in these companie

Q: Hi folks,I am perplexed at performance of West Fraser,touching new lows even though Lumber has recovered somewhat to $300+ & Wft/t supposedly best in class of lumber stocks.Just started 1/2 position @ 39.12 but before I avg down for other 1/2,would like your thoughts & opinion on stock. Thanks as always,wft/t now in $37's

Q: Lumber prices have gone up, housing prices in US doing well, $C is down.
Why these Lumber stocks are not participating?

Q: It is my understanding that some of the Cdn. forestry companies have a fairly large holding in the US(land & timber rights). I was thinking of buying WFT, on pull backs, but I was wondering what percentage, if any, is due do there holdings in the US. Also, are there other Cdn. companies, that have a larger footprint in the US.

Can you please comment on the seasonality of the lumber industry, and in particular West Fraser Timber, WFT. Also, please comment on the short term outlook given the BC truckers strike, and as well as the long term prospects given the economic outlook of markets into which it sells.
