Q: Natural Gas prices are scapping bottom but we all know that this will not last forever. It is interesting to note that Natural gas is now being considered as an alternative fuel for large transportation vehicles since the price of diesel is now as pricey as regular gasoline. Are there some investment opportunities where we could take advantage of this migration from diesel to natural gas

Q: Hi Peter,

The gold and precious metals stocks appear to be out of favour which has negatively impacted their current market values.

Please suggest the best bargains at this time for gold and precious metals stocks for investors with a mid to long term horizon. Is this a good time to buy and/or accumulate or is a further erosion of values more likely?

Many thanks and best regards,

Roman

Q: I'd appreciate input regarding the difference between a distribution and dividend. Is a distribution a special dividend that a company basically pays the tax on so the shareholder doesn't?

I wasn't expecting any announcements from POE regarding dividends/distributions but personally I'm pleasantly surprised. Tempted to buy more but would greatly appreciate 5i's thoughts.

Q: Hello,
I have a general question about inflation. Is moderate inflation (2 to 4%) a positive or negative for stocks in general ? How about high inflation ? The articles I read over time on the topic suggest that some inflation is good but high inflation is very bad. Thank you in advance for your comments and best regards.

Q: These are just "my observations" of the current Canadian market place. It appears that any small cap or medium cap company with little or zero cash flow is being crushed by the large number of short sellers (SS) circling in the sky. The (SS) just continue to build their short positions until the company is out of money and then when it finally succumbs to raise funds with a low share price the SS are the buyers, leaving those original share holders with a much smaller value. Until the rules for short selling are revised I see no real reason why this approach will change. This occurrence doesn't happen to the same extent on large cap stocks because of the expense and the number of individuals and institutions looking to "go-long" to receive dividends. Now for my question - Do you think my observation is true or false? Why or why not?
Sincerely,
ANDY
