Q: I have been following news releases from this company for about six months and noticed that the last question posed to, and response from, 5i was back on Feb 11, 2014. Things appear to be looking up (pun) since then in terms of landing (another pun) a couple of orders, one from Lockheed Martin (aircraft mfger). Is it time to re-consider this speculative investment? The sky would appear to be the limit. Your thoughts please.

Q: Good Afternoon.
I am more than confused about this fund. Could you shed any light on why it would trade so much lower than its NAV? Based on earlier comments by you, I have a better understanding why it would be recommended by an IA but am pleased to hear that you like the managers. Could you also let me know if the fund is redeemable once a year or once a month? It looks like I may be holding it for the long term now and should enjoy the dividend, which hopefully continues.

Q: What 3 or 4 small to mid cap natural gas stocks would be at the top of your list? Thanks.
Q: Hi team.
I have been following the recent debacle in this company and am aware that market sentiment is negative. However, looks like the fundamentals are strong ,management has proven itself in the past, and the company is poised to grow and turn a profit in 2016.Is this a value trap at these levels or a great buy due to "irrational" behaviour from sellers. When would be a strong signal to BUY?
many thanks,
Jean C.

Q: With the current sell off both of these seem to be attractive. What are your thoughts on taking a position immediately and which one would you choose. Thanks
Q: Is the dividend by HSE safe ?
I hold some SU, CNQ, CVE and WCP
like to add to an energy stock that pays a dividend
if HSE is low on your list, could you suggest 1-2 energy stocks
(excluding pipelines as I have TRP, KEY and PPL and IPL)
thanks!

Q: Would you please provide your favourite 5-10 health care stocks? I have US dollars so that would be my preferable currency but can certainly convert some to CAD. Would you also list them in risk order with the least risky first? ETFs are fine as well. Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter,

Q: I own shares in Strad Energy Services. As you know Total Energy was in the process of making a takeover bid for their shares at $2.90 per share with 35 day expiry date. Strad in turn adopted a poison pill making any bid open for 120 days. Total Energy then said that they will not pursue a takeover bid. Based on your experience do you think there is a high likelihood that another bid may be coming? Is a 35 day expiry date reasonable? Was 120 days excessive? What would you recommend doing at this time?
Q: What are your feeling regarding POT's debt levels and any other "survival" metrics. I have no issue holding it thru volatility with this dividend, I
just want to feel comfortable that it will make it to the other side of the storm. What grade would you give it?

Thanks for great service

Q: Your thoughts on the news today and their plans.
Q: I currently own CNQ with an approx -30% unrealized loss. Was wondering about realizing that loss and simply keeping my energy exposure (only 1 name) by using sale proceeds to buy Suncor. Would you recommend this switch? The goal is to participate in energy sector (only 5% weight) with an added benefit of realizing a tax loss. But if best way to earn my money back in via another blue chipper energy name then that's ok to do as well. But if they are likely to move lock step then why not take the tax loss (rhetorical!!)?
Many thanks as always!

Q: At present my only Consumer stock (Staple or Cyclical) is CSW.A. I recently took profits on CCL.B. What three Consumer stocks would you suggest at this time. I am a conservative investor and am considering CTC.A as one addition. Thanks, Barrie
Q: ccl.b is getting whipped today. Only news I see on it is expansion plans for Mexico plant. Can you add insight on ccl.b performance today?
thanks
thanks
Q: Market is droping like crazy should we still hold?.
Q: In an answer today you said that BEP.UN is not eligible for the dividend tax credit but indicated that POT is. I hold bep in a non-registered account. If it is not eligible I would consider it better for my RRSP. Is there a rule of thumb or a resource anywhere that can be used to figure this out.
Q: what are your views on sask potash
Q: I'm now in the process of identifying my positions as income, balanced or growth and then tracking these three groups, in addition to the whole portfolio. For Boyd, I think it would be earmarked 'balanced' and so would Stantec, rather than 'income' without getting into the reasons for this. How do you see it?......thanks, again.........tom
Q: Peter, with the government in Alberta and the potential government in Ottawa that is unfriendly to business I am looking for companies that pay a dividend that qualifies for Canadian dividend tax credit, pays in American dollars and has most of its business in the U.S. I believe Brookfield, Pure Muti family reit would qualify. Could you please give me a few more that pay 5 percent dividend or more, Thank you Ken
