Q: Hello 5i,
Do you have any thoughts on Intermap? IMP.T
Are they turning the corner...or is it just too soon to tell? The share price has firmed up nicely this year - but I'm wondering if it's just from money exiting the resource sector...
Thanks!
Q: Peter - can I please have your thoughts on BHP Biliton and Royal Dutch Shell? I like the yield and they both are priced close to 52-week lows. I am looking at a 5% position in both. Thank You.
Q: I have received various answers from other people with regard to the following question. Would it be possible for you to give an example for the following questions. Is it better to buy US stock in Can $ or to buy an ETF (hedged to Can $) if the Can $ goes from .95 to .85 over time? What happens if US share is purchased in Can$ and sold in Can$ if $ goes from .95 to .85? Would it be better to open a US $ account, purchase in US$ and sell in US $ if $ goes down? Thanks for your help. I will put my faith in your answer!
Q: Hello, can you please comment on the indexed investment funds offered by most banks - Guaranteed capital with capped stock market upside (from what I see, usually 2 year + term). Would you know if there is a lot of fees within these products ? Do you really get a good share of the stock market upside ? Would it be wise to use it in the fixed income portion of a portfolio given the low yield environment and possible increase in interest rates. Thank you and Happy Canada Day to all.
Q: Derek Dillon, VP Canada of Badger Daylighting, has just won, with his team, the Alberta Lawn Bowls championships and will represent Alberta in the Canadian championships in Vancouver in August - congrats Derek!!!
Q: I have been following innergex renewable energy for some time. Looks like debt levels are coming down and cap ex is starting to slow. Given all the projects coming on stream this year, is this the time to step in or wait until the debt drobs off further?

Q: hi , I am wondering if you may be able to recommend a couple of canadian oil and or gas stocks that have many years of proven reserves in the small to mid cap size that are under valued.
Q: Hi 5i! I have been a long time holder of Manulife (MFC). Now with the prospect of rising interest rates, insurers are back in favour. Would you recommend holding on to MFC or making the switch to Sunlife (SLF). If not Sunlife, which would be your preferred insurer?
I am slowly turning over my portfolio to 5i's covered stocks and/or model portfolio!
Q: Hi Peter, a long time fan and now a member. I have long been a big believer in the energy sector and am overweight, particularily Crescent Point (CPG). I spend the dividend from my RRIF. Everyone on BNN and analysts all love the stock but the market doesn't seem to. In the Globe's ROB Eric Reguly opined that global warming might cause a black swan type event that would force the world to leave hydrocarbons in the ground which would devastate my holdings. I have long been in the denier camp but am starting to question my position. Would appreciate your views on CPG, this whole thesis, and your view on the nuclear space, especially Cameco. I am seiously thinking of a major change in my holdings. Thanks. Robert
