Q: Hi Peter,

Have your views changed on WND after the bid from BEP.UN? Would 2.5 be a new floor or it still poses a lot of downside risk from this point.

Q: PWT: I understand the advice to wait and see a turnaround before buying in but what would you read into insider buying @10.50 to 11 during Nov? Same is true with insiders at PGF. Could they just be looking for a seasonal "dead cat bounce" in the stock prices or perhaps they know something the rest of us don't. Thanks, Jeff

Q: Just wondered what you & team think of my diversifying some by purchasing a say 27 month debenture paying 6% plus. I have a number of your listed basket of A & B rated holdings, (not more than 5% in each) & thought that I may put say a 3% holding in UUU.DB.A ? Or should I rather add to AW.UN or ATP, or BAD, BPF.UN, BYD.UN, BEP.UN, CUS, CFN, CSU, FCR, LIQ, or PKI, to bring a few of them up to say 5% ?

They recently did a private placement which was over subscribed by 100+ % , in order to grow the business into Central & Southern Ontario as well as modernize their facilities.

Q: RE: CUS

with this low interest environment, why would managment do an equity raise - with the resultant dilution of share holder equity and a resultant increase in cash flow requirements to fund the quarterly dividend - rather than do a fully tax-deductible debenture offering, for example...

Q: Hi Peter and 5i: Oil commodity – I know there are some significant differences between the North American markets for oil and for nat gas, but I am wondering whether we should expect to see the oil market over the next year or two trace a path similar to the nat gas market's over the past year, with improved techniques for exploiting shale-based resources creating a progression of over-investment, supply glut, price trough, cap-ex cuts and dividend cuts, and an equity market sell-off, before coming back to a more stable and probably intermediate commodity price, as supply and demand come back into balance. The recent buzz about the US having the means to approach supply independence seems to me to fit the scenario, as does the lack of conviction around oil futures over the last several weeks, with the prices flipping back and forth between contango and backwardation a number of times. I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have on this? Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter and Team. I've been following USGGBE05:IND chart (US 5-year breakeven) on Bloomberg.com to keep an eye on future US inflation expectations. This ties in with my PM portfolio. They recently withdrew this free chart (now available on Bloomberg Professional Service). Is there an alternative to this that I can use ?? Thanks.
