Q: Peter and Team,

This is sort of a follow up from another member's question today on MFR.UN and my questions from the past couple days on bond ETFs.

What is the better choice between HFR and MFR.UN? HFR doesn't appear as volitile but its yield is lower along with lower fees. My head tells me HFR is safer but I'm surprised by the high yield on MFR.UN.

Thoughts?

the only "energy" related stock I have is Gibson(GIB) and I'm down 5% 5%. I would like to jump in on one of these since they have had a big downturn, Would Suncor or Halliburton be the best to buy at these discounted prices. I noticed that the Royal Back\MorningStar rated it a very strong buy.

What's you opinion SU with a 3.45% dividend or Halliburton with a 1.98% dividend

Q: Hi Peter, I bought this in June for $55 (must have split stocks) anyway, there was a lot of insider selling on Monday. Should I be concerned and maybe sell this stock?

Q: This ETF seems to be imploding. I really don't understand when I compare to CBO. Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

At what point (oil price) is COS not profitable? I have bought in around $12 thinking it was fair value. Was I right about that?
Would any oil sands companies be seriously threatened by low oil prices?
Is COS debt manageable?

Q: I'd like your opinion about acquiring 1/2 position in HNL for a shorter term hold (and longer if necessary). Is the high dividend sustainable with the way things are looking now? Do you think the stock price will get hit hard in the next week given tax loss selling?

I don’t want to sound pushy......just wondering if you got it? In case you didn’t get it, I was asking for your opinion of the article. It actually feels like 2008 (as a member said today in a question he asked). Should we be worried/prepared? How do you think precious metals will perform if such a scenario will occur?

Q: GS has issued a "SELL CANADA" statement(recommendation?) that has been mentioned on BNN numerous times in the last several days. What does this mean? Is GS powerfull enough to add to the selling pressure on the TSX? Thank You Ron

Q: Hi, Further to Paul's question on IPL. In a RRIF still showing a capital gainon IPL would it be wise to unload it and turn to other sectors for income, possibly CSH.UN? What would you recommend for income now? Sold ALA yesterday thankfully. This market is starting to feel like 2008. Thanks for the excellent service.

Q: Hi Peter: I generally just read the answers to questions that others ask and have found your responses very helpful. However, today I would like to ask about ala. I'm not quite sure whether it is regard as a utility or an energy infrastructure entity. I know their activities to some extent fall into both camps, but where would you put the company in this regard. I don't believe it is significantly affected by the price oil (although it may be by gas prices) but it is obviously falling in sympathy with oil.

Q: I am interested in a rising stream of income. Is BP on the NYSE a 'blood in the streets' buy? Also, since it is an ADR am I correct in believing there is no U.S. withholding tax on the dividend?

Q: Why would the company change it's name from Amaya gaming to Amaya Inc?
Do they not want people to know they are in the gaming industry? To me the name change does not reflect what the company does. Or maybe that is the point:after all with 80 million users maybe they will start selling advertising . That would be a huge revenue gain.Just curious in trying to figure out the logic.

For those of us new to 5I, who didn't invest in your original Model Portfolio and thus haven't benefited from the wonderful returns you have made, I was wondering if you would consider offering a new Model Portfolio for 2015, based on companies you currently really like and that are at good valuations right now and have great growth opportunities ahead.
