Q: Hi, I have a question regarding investment strategy. I heard that you shouldn't invest more than 5% in any stock and I also herd that you should only hold about 5 to 7 quality stocks. That accounts for 35% or my portfolio. My question is...what do I do with the other 65% of my portfolio? Should I be investing that portion or is it better to leave it. This way I won't lose any money on this amount.

Q: When you were on BNN you asked if anyone knew of a company that went from $0.10 to $10.00, how about $0.11 to $23.00, Peir One Imports,PIR.N hit a low of 0.11 Mar.2009, and $23.00+ a couple of weeks ago. Wish I could say I bought a few million shares,have fun disecting it,s performance!

Q: Any opinion on AQA? The company suggests they have 900,000 ounces of gold, Hudbay spent some development money but decided not to proceed. I realize Hudbay has its challenges and is trying to develop a much bigger deposit in South America I think. I suppose AQA is "dead-in-water" for the forseeable future.

Q: Hi Peter and the 5i Team,
I am getting on in years so I'm going to test your patience and repeat a earlier question. ALC is showing a P/E of 3. Is there something wrong with the business or company? The numbers still look OK to me but the ROE maybe could be better. Shipping on the Great Lakes stops in the winter when the canals & locks freeze-up. Would the market be anticipating a bad quarter due to the winter shut down? I want to diversify my portfolio by placing more of my cash into the transportation sector.

Q: Hello Everyone,
I am a new member with my first question.
I am interested in 5Is opinion on the ongoing housing recovery in the US as it relates to Canadian Forestry sector. More specifically has your opinion changed on Acadia Forest(ADN) who suggested in their year end that they were expecting increased revenue based on saw log prices in Maine.
Finally with OSB demand growing, do you have an opinion on Ainsworth Lumber (ANS) and their very upbeat forecast through 2015. I believe that ANS is trading at 7.5 x Forward Earnings.

Q: Following up on Chucks question about the leveraged etf's. Given their structure and the decay that comes out of it, can't a prudent investor short both the hbd and hbu and come out ahead over time? For example, the hbd is off 25% in the past two years while the hbu is flat. I must be missing something or else someone else would have already thought of this.
