Q: Hi Peter and 5i,
How significant is Carfinco’s (CFN) news that the interest rate on their senior credit facilities is being lowered by 0.5%? I would have thought that with their business model the interest expense reduction would be reflected by an approximately equivalent (dollars, not percentage) increase to their bottom line. Essentially they were just handed a margin improvement. The fact that the reduction is extended to PAC is a vote of confidence in the recent acquisition and a reminder that the more CFN grows the more it will benefit from the rate reduction. The market doesn’t seem too impressed. Is the difference just too small to make an impact or is there an error in the way I am thinking about it? Thanks!
Q: Why do some companies announce their latest quarterly earnings (eg., AGU today) after the close of markets? Is this an indicator of impending poor results?
Q: New member here and very much enjoying reading all the information. Encana ECA came out with a report today and indicated they would be cutting dividends and the shares have risen. If the yield falls below 4%, I might consider selling. Is it a buy, hold or sell at the moment?
With the recent drop in Amaya, which it sounds like relates to the previous financing, where do you see the floor on the current selling? I am looking to take a half position, although, I'm tempted to wait until the stock stabilizes.

Q: Hi,
With regards to your reply to my question on RDL, in one of the previous posts you said that it has fallen a lot considering the CEO departure. With regards to the cashflow being negative, how do we find this information. Is it becuase their revenue in the next quarter is going down. Should that not be factored into the prices when the news came out on 29 October. I purchased this at 4.30 so I am losing nearly half the value and wondering what went wrong.
Q: cytx on the nasdaq has come out with very good news and the stock price is spiking.

Q: I am looking at adding some Crescent Point Energy to my portfolio (CPG-TSX). I see the dividend of 7% as very attractive and the value of this company being quite attractive. Is now a good time to look at taking a position in CPG?
Q: Hi Team,
With global growth slowing, what is your outlook for the price of OIL going into 2014 and are you still liking Ithaca ( IAE ) energy for growth and production outlook? Could it also be a possible takeover candidate?
Thanks and have a great day,
Jean C.
