Q: For tax-planning purposes, I'm trying to keep a lid on net income. Can you recommend some quality stocks that pay out a decent, mainly non-dividend distritution (other than REITs and BEP.un, which I already have)?

Q: I have been watching BLD for the past couple monthes. It looks they are having a lot of progress recently with the Buss order from China, Fuel cell tram demonstration, and especially had signed contract with Ardica for the development of portable military fuel cell batteries. Do you know any more details about these activities or contracts and what do you think about this stock now (current price vs upside potential)?

Q: Nike, Under Armour and Performance sports have all performed amazingly well over the past 3 to 5 years. Nike (only) pays a small dividend. Is it reasonable to expect these companies to continue this growth and is the current growth coming from the new Asia/African markets?

Q: Thoughts on Amaya's spin out Innova Gaming? From recent prospectus on sedar, issue price $4.50 - $5.00, approximately 15.3 million shares total - valueing company around $73 million. 2014 revenue $23.2 million, $5 million EBITDA (up 21.6% y/y). What are your thoughts on proposed price, business prospects, management? Many thanks.

Q: I own SIO and SEV. I have owned SIGM in the past. All of these companies in my view are trying to cash in on the "next big thing". Are any of these companies real winners in this space or are there other companies that are worth buying.

Q: Hi! When it comes to allocation in the new growth portfolio. If I only have $20 thousand available is it better to concentrate the funds in a few companies or buy what would be a pretty small position in each of the companies? And from what I have read from the questions I would guess the stocks to concentrate on, if that is the way to go, would be the ones were you have taken a 5% position.

Q: The current share price is being dragged down because of the Nasdaq listing and the Canada-US dollar exchange rate. Aren't the profits made in this company in american dollars and shouldn't that be supporting the stock? Do you think Wi-lan management should drop US listing?

DHX.B was downgraded by Scotiabank to an “underperform” rating and cut its price target from $10 to $7. RBC Capital, CIBC have both cut DHX Media’s price target as well. What is your outlook on DHX.B and is it still worth holding? Thanks as always. Jerry

Q: My questions is concerning the debentures of companies such as Partners Real Estate and Temple REIT . I own debentures of these companies (1 yr debenture for PAR.db and 2 year debenture for TPH). My thinking is that the risk of default is very low despite the poor performance of the shares. The yields are high and the companies before defaulting they will need to cut the dividend/distribution of the common shares and reduce debt by selling assets. The other risk is being paid the principal in shares (in which case one needs to hedge that possibility).
I would appreciate your thoughts on this with regards to the difficulties these companies are facing. (In fact .. I don't see why investors own the common shares and not the debenture).
