Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I am negatively surprised at the proposed sale announcement today, as a fairly large shareholder of IRG. The price of both Companies are trading down, which would indicate not all is well. To take 80% of MTY stock, how do they determine at what share price? Why would they have a no solicitation clause with MTY? Should the objective not be to maximize shareholder value and properly seek bidders? Your comments would be appreciated.

Q: It has been a while since you have provided an opinion on this company.Technically the stock has been performing very well lately. Can you please provide your updated fundamental analysis.Do the current fundamentals support the latest positive price action.Would you recommend for an investor looking primarily for income with some future growth in both dividend and equity price?
Thanks very much.

Q: In Oct. 2014, I noticed that IRG was about to initiate paying a dividend and, following your general observation that it is a good sign when a company does this, I bought some shares that are now up 62%. The shares do seem now to be in holding pattern and I am writing to ask if you think it is time to move on or if you see a continuing upside and would suggest hanging on.
Thank you for your great service,
Bob.
