Q: NTB has dropped along with APO after the announcement of positive phase 2 trial results. Is that a case of selling on good news, or think that something else is going on? Your service is much appreciated, Peter

Q: Hi Peter & 5i: This is in follow-up to your answer to kelsi’s question on Twin Butte (TBE). You indicated that you “would expect a dividend cut in 2014.” Can you please explain the basis for that expectation and maybe provide a couple of examples, from TBE’s peers, which are comparatively better on the specific metrics that you see as red flags of an upcoming cut? Thanks as always!
Q: Hi Peter,
Is there something exciting in New Millenium (NML.TO)recent results to consider a small position in this stock. Do you see it turning profit in 2014? Thank you

Q: I have shares of AAH They anounced a speical dividend of $7.20 to share holders on aug 6 to be paid aug 16 after the anouncement the shares shot up $6.00 I was told the shares could drop post dividend as much as the dividend itself. Q: Hi Peter and the 5i Team,
Last night Michael Bowman was on BNN. He suggested holding gold bullion e.g. the CGL ETF instead of holding a gold miner such as Goldcorp. Yet when I plot returns over various time periods, G has done better than CGL and other gold bullion ETFs. I know that 5i recommends holding some gold in every portfolio (specifically Goldcorp) and presently I don't own any gold at all. What is your take on Mr. Bowman's gold strategies? If a portfolio is approximately 300K, would a 5% gold weighting be too much because of the volatility? Thanks for providing such a terrific service.

Q: Hi, Peter and Team: HLP.UN has been sliding and has a payour ratio in the nineties. I notice on their Web page, under the News Release section, that they've posted a dividend disclaimer. Any cause for concern?
Thanks, Dale

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I know its way too early to discuss Third Point Re, TPRE as a company, however, knowing that the CEO is a veteran and their Chief Investor is Dan Loeb, do you think this could be a long term hold?

Q: Re Roy question and others on preferred
There is today an exceptionally interesting article from Eric Parnell linking the fate of Preferred NOT on the vagaries of interest rates (negative correlation of -0.13), but more (and THIS is very interesting)from the performance of the stock market (correlation +.63) which leads him to believe that the poor performance lately of the preferred bodes badly for the stock market.
You can get it from Seeking Alpha.
As usual, publish if you think it is worth doing so.

Q: Hi Peter, I have held CWB for many years, and while I appreciate its stability, I need my money to work harder than the return I have seen for the past few years. Would you endorse a switch of some these funds to EQI? I already have some EQI. CWB=6%, EQI=2.5% currently.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Q: Hi Team,
I'm considering adding to my position on Enbridge (ENB) given the current weakness. Reading previous Q&A on Enbridge suggests you favour this stock even at a higher valuation. Is there anything currently applying pressure lowering the stock price that I should be cautious about, or is this still the fallout from the interest rate issue of the last few months?
Your views are much appreciated.
Marco.
