Q: Hi
I was wondering if I should sell IPL in my rrsp to buy VNR.
IPL has done very well over the past year. VNR has a higher dividend but is actually down over the past year.
Which do you think would have the greatest upside over the next 3 years?

Q: re: CGX

my question July 9 asked about the effects NetFlix/HBO types of products might be having on the box office. you mentioned that shouldn't be a concern but, you also mentioned "the box office this year is not as strong as expected..." and you didn't have any concerns on CGX right now in general.

Today CGX is down to it's lowest value since Sept 2013. I have to wonder if my money might not be better put to work in another company. I have this feeling if I sit on this long term I could very well continue to see a slow decline in value.

What are your thoughts after reading my comments?

Q: I would appreciate your assessment of Bonavista (BNP) prospects. I've held it for several years and am underwater about 15%. They recently did an unusual thing and cancelled their DRIP for the stated reason that their cash flow had improved and the DRIP was no longer necessary. would I be wiser to take a tax loss and switch into Surge? Thanks

Q: My question is on PGF. On June 24th they had a press release that had a headlined Pengrowth Energy Corp. (PGH) Increases Value of 2P Reserves at Lindbergh to $2.2B Their Lindbergh project should be complete first quarter 2015. From what I read in this press release...its pretty good news and I would anticipate that the stock price should have a very good turn to the upside in 2015. However I am no expert and would value your opinion. Thanks

Q: My portfolio consists of 25 stocks with an approximate 4% weighting each. I'm currently overweight in oil/gas and want to trade out at least two of Tourmaline, Rock, Bellatrix, Spartan and Bankers Petroleum. Q: Hello 5i Team,

I have a 2% starting position in GRT.UN which I'm thinking to bring up to a full position of ~5%. Today I am just over 15% in REITs. Being retired I look more for income than growth.

Looking at past comments on this stock I see it has not been commented for some time. Could you provide a review of its current status?

Q: I have a good gain in Parex (PXT) so far and I was wondering what your takes on the company is going forward? It recently came out with an excellent reserve and production update and the shares jumped. Should I continue to hold it or take some profits? More importantly, is the stock still a buy today, after the reserve increase and corresponding raise in the share price? Thanks.

Q: I few years ago I purchased Torstar TS.b for about $9.00. I have seen it fall to about $5.00 and now it is up around $8.00. I have done well on other buys most recently thanks to you. Q: I have been doing some private 2nd mortgage investing and even though they pay and attractive 16% annually, you are locked in for 2 year. Instead, the Life and Bank Split Corp--symbol LBS has been recommended to replace some of the more riskier 2nd mortage investments. Can you please provide and opinion?

Q: When one speaks of a stock being 10% of a portfolio, should one be considering just the "equity" portion of the portfolio or should one consider one's overall investment portfolio that includes bonds and cash? Thanks.
