Q: CLC was sold at $10.75 a share. It is currently trading at less than that. If I simple hold on to my shares until the deal finalizes in September, will I receive the full $10.75 per share automatically?

Q: It looks like Paladin Energy is getting hit because of their delay in announcing their strategic initiative, which I assume was meant to help their balance sheet. Any thoughts? Could this company conceivably go bankrupt before the improvement in uranium prices?

T:AM - AUTOMODULAR CORPORATION. For a stock that seams to have lost lost considerale future income it seams to behave strangely.No divined cut and holding quite steady even going up a little. Could it mean that management has found other revenues ??? you comments would be appreciated.

Q: Hello team,

My question is regarding the acquisition of CLC and how could one ever benefit from this jump after the fact. As you know CLC closed at $7.20 on June 24 and opened at $10.60 on June 25, a whopping 47% increase.

I want to know how some retail investor like me could know about this takeover in advance? And even if I knew about this deal the night before the jump how I could have purchased it when it is already up by 47% at the open?

I also want to know how stocks can open so high before the trading day even start? And finally is there any point in buy CLC at this point?

As you can see I am a novice investor so please keep up the superb job. Thank you!

Q: A BNN guest suggested selling resource and materials stocks which are down 15-20 % ytd now before tax loss selling begins in the Fall which is sure to drive them down much further. The idea being that they can be bought much cheaper later in the year.

That sounds pretty drastic. Would you agree, disagree or have a different perspective?

Q: Hello, I would like your opinion on a macro economic situation. The "govt" keeps expounding the line that there is virtually no inflation and the central bankers (fed etc) can keep printing more money because of this. However, in your answer about G you mentioned that the cost of production keeps going up for the miners. All of us "commoners" know that everything that we have to buy is going up in price or being disguised with smaller packages etc...so my question is this: how do these two opposing situations of talk vs reality play out? As a small retail investor I am very concerned about where we are headed and what is going to happen to ones savings?

Q: Regarding Ronald's post on the value of NOT using stop losses in IPL's quick drop and bounce case. The flip side to that argument is easily demonstrated by my position in Goldcorp. If I had used a stop loss as I normally do, I would not be sitting on thousands of dollars loss in this position. Buy and hold is a miserable solution when "good" stocks go bad, which they all too frequently seem to do. My normal habit of being willing to summarily dump losing stocks early with stop losses, has now been enlivened considerably.

Q: Hello 5i team. You last commented on Russell Metals (RUS) a couple of months ago, when it was in decline. Its price has continued to drop, including over 2% today in a rising market. Just wondered if the fundamentals had changed or if it's still just going through a bit of a bad spell? What would the catalyst be to turn things around?
