Q: Peter - what are your thoughts on FIE - Claymore Financial Monthly Income Fund. I like the 7.3% Yield. I am looking at a 10% weighting in my portfolio. Is the low daily volume trade in this fund a concern? What are the risks? Thank You.
Q: Could I please have your comments on CIBC (CM) as a long-term hold? Do you think the stock price will recover once the Aeroplan situation is behind them? Thanks.
Q: 5i Team: May I have your views on Urbana please? I am underwater. Shall I sell or hold? Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i team
Any thoughts on Horizon's SilverYLD - HZY - Last at $5.05 with a 9% yield paid monthly. With the potential rebound in silver over the next couple of years, would you recommend a position?

Q: I'm looking to buy at least one of the Big-5 Canadian Banks. There is all this chatter in the last 2 years about a housing crash and I'm not immune to this constant rhetoric in the news and blogosphere. Therefore I'm hesitant to put money into these banks, but I also don't want to ignore the pretty stable dividends that they can provide. Would you suggest that I make the investment in the banks now and if so, which of the big 5 is the safest?
Q: Generally speaking, would you expect to see decreased earnings and profit growth from the banks as interest rates increase.
Q: I want to pick POW or PWF for a long term hold. Could you give me some insight on which way to go?

Q: Hi 5i! I have been a long time holder of Manulife (MFC). Now with the prospect of rising interest rates, insurers are back in favour. Would you recommend holding on to MFC or making the switch to Sunlife (SLF). If not Sunlife, which would be your preferred insurer?
I am slowly turning over my portfolio to 5i's covered stocks and/or model portfolio!
Thanks for helping us retail investors!

Q: Hi Petr:
You recommended FSZ last week on BNN. I'm having trouble interpreting its P/E ratio of 165. I presume you are using something else instead of earnings as a comparator. Could you explain?

Q: opinions on wells fargo at this time, thanks, and investing in american or canadian banks
Q: Hi Team: How would you rank RY versus BNS - what gives BNS the edge in your opinion? thanks
Q: Do you think TD Bank would be a good addition to get exposure to the US recovery and their banking sector?
Q: ZUB: ZUB is the biggest holding in my portfolio; With Bernanke's statements, should I start taking some profits? Thanks.
Q: I have positions in all 5 major banks, the largest in BMO as it pays the best dividend. The pundits all knock BMO, and they class TD and BNS well above it. But BMO lost the least % today of any of the banks. What is your thinking on banks?
Q: Lifecos I am looking to switch some bank shares into some of these nonbank financials. Do you have a preferred stock to recommend? Do you have another for the US side of my PF?

Q: h, would you buy RY at this level for income.thanks.
Q: Hi Team: a general question on rising rates and the "positive impact" on lifecos. How is it that with all of their bond holdings, they can benefit as rates rise? Everyone else gets hit; but they don't? thanks
Q: Hi Guys. I noticed in the morning paper ING.Groep NV had a yield of 23.961% with a closing share value of $9.13. Yield seems high. Any comments, thanks
Q: To increase the return of my financial equities I'm thinking of selling all my ZWB (BMO Covered Call Banks) and replacing it with an equal amount of TD and BNS. Is a 12 month total return of 8% reasonable? Thanks for the fantastic service. Paul
