Q: In tonight's picks from BNN(STOCK UPDATE):
"Bruce Campbell, President & Portfolio Manager at StoneCastle Investment Management Inc.
Top Picks from our October 2013
Sold Auto Canada (ACQ) on January 21, 2014 at $41.41
The stock broken down technically and also dropped in rank
below the level of a hold in our universe."
Do you guys agree with him? Thanks.

Q: Hello, can you give me some details on ESL and CSU. Which one do you like more if you could choose one, how do their businesses differ, which has more long term growth prospects? Thanks for your time.
Q: My apologies for asking another question but I am stumpet re holding a small amount of the Cineplex recent convtible. I asked for a larger amount and only received a really small amount of bond. Would it not be wiser just to sell it? The conversion seems so unappealing and although 4% I may as well buy the common or similar? Your good opinion please.
Q: Hello 5i team. BEP.UN has increased approximately 7.5% since you recommended it in September 2013 but seems to fluctuate. Still a decent yield of 5.4%. Would you recommend initiating a new position in this name at this point? Thank you.
Q: What is your view of the Wi-LAN (WIN) year end results? Thank you.
Q: ACQ AutoCanada. Seems I bought this at a top (Jan13). I'm down 16% after another 4% drop today. Ready to call "Uncle" on this one. At what point does one toss in the towel?
Q: HLF shares are down around 5% today. The company has announced approval of a "normal course issuer bid (NCIB)". Would the news on the NCIB be the reason for the downturn of the stock price?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Peter I have a lot of profit in DH with its current volatility should I sell and sit on the sidelines and wait .?I don't want to be a lemming either

Q: Hi guys, could you give me an update on Extendicare (EXE), please? I just read an article in Motley Fool that states that
buying into this company, you get their US unit for
free. I like freebees, but is this business still as tenuous as
when you last answered to a query back in August? Regards, Robert.

Q: HCG among others was just downgraded by Macquarie due to the drop in the Canadian dollar. Could you comment on the effect on these stocks which have primarily Canadian dollar earnings.
Q: Just a comment, but what happened to horizons north logistics was insider information being released before the public had any idea what was happening, the management of this company should be brought to justice. I was a large shareholder at a very low price so i did all right, but for a companys share price go from 10 to 8.25 in 7 or 8 trading days on no news when everyone called the company still cheap including peter hodson and then have the horrible earnings announcement which brought the stock down to the low sevens is an insult and frankly an outright crime.i sold my shares in the low sevens and will never be back. The management of this company at best are lowlifes. Dave
Q: How do you determine an entry point for a growth company such as ESL? Do you go in at market and ride it up or would you wait for a pullback to say the 50 day moving average? What I am asking, it seems to me that the buy point for a growth company is determined differently from a value stock? Thank you.
Q: You mentioned previously that AVO would be one of the first growth stocks you would buy if you could, would you mention a couple more for good growth potential. Thanks
Q: I purchased MDA in August ($80x200sh) and it's done some sideways action since then, with the exception of the last few days where it's flirting with the $75 mark. On Friday, I purchased $30,000 of it in my margin account. I know you've rated it as a A- stock, but I'm wondering whether the interest charge and sudden decline is worth the risk.
Could it signify a "leak" like HNL?
I'm wondering if I should just sell before there's any further decline.
Your comments please...

Q: Peter and Team,
Is Badger really dropping 4+% today based on their announcement today. When read the announcement, it seems to me that they are just rearranging their debts a bit. Am I missing something?

Q: My cost on HNL is $6.15. It is trading today at $7.03, still some profit there but nothing like it was. Is this company done or is there more upside after this settles down. Can management be trusted? Is the dividend safe? I am a longterm investor and will hang on if it is worth it.
Thank you for the wonderful service that you provide.

Q: Further to HNL, very simply, for those who own the stock, sell / switch to something else, or hold? Thanks.
Q: HNL sure smells bad with todays warning and last week's decline. Do you see this as indiciative of future problems that warrant selling the stock? Or is this a buying opportunity?
Thanks,
Thanks,
