Q: In the past I have held both CPD and ZPR etfs. Given the risk of interest rates eventually starting to move back up. Would ZPR be a better "buy and put away" long term hold

Q: Peter what's your view on the Canadian banks - many articles recently on the risks facing the banks - housing bubble, debt levels etc - so far at least, the banks don't appear to have gotten the message that they should be going down - what are your thoughts in general - thanks in advance for your feedback.
Q: I have been following a trust company srv.un sir royalty trust would appreciate your thoughts thanks
Q: Hi Peter,
Great information. I have held Sun Financial for several years, and have seen its value eroded, although still providing a decent dividend. Would it be advisable to divest on a portion of my holdings in this company? I'm looking to replace it with other div. stocks.
Thanks,
John

Q: Hello Peter & team,
I am thinking of adding to MSI-t. (about 2.8% of the portfolio at present).
It seems to have been in a downward trend since reporting in March, but has just popped its head above the 20 day moving average. MSI seems to peak seasonally in about March of each year.
What do you think ?
Paul.

Q: Hi Peter, my question is about BEP.UN which is rated "A". When one looks at BEP.UN stock quote on the Web (see link below),one sees: EPS -0.38; Forward P/E 105.90. Is there something I do not understand? May be these numbers are wrong? Thanks, Gervais

Q: Hi Peter, I hold BCE in several accounts, and it has done very well. However it is becoming a disproportionately large holding in these accounts, so I wish to sell some in exchange for Telus. Should I wait until Telus has a bit of a pullback, or do the telcos tend to move up and down together and thus it does not really matter. Thank you.
Q: I'd like your opinion on Algonquin Power. I like it for the dividend, but will it grow? I already have positions in AQN, EMA,FTS and BEP, but should I sell AQN and spread the money into the others, or do you prefer another utility?.
Q: Hi Peter: I am looking at buying a position in an Infrastructure or Utility company that is not related to the Oil Sands.
Fortis, Gibsons, ATCO, Keyera, Altagas all come to mind. Do you have a favorite or something else? Thanks.

Q: Another question on Leisureworld(LW). Their subscription receipts are trading at about 40 cents below the value of the common shares. Is this a good way to buy into the company. Thanks
Q: Hi
I plan to sell a significant portion of my portfolio at this time, but I would prefer not to let my money languish as cash. I am considering the purchase of VSB.T as a holder for a few months. What do you think of this move? Is VSB a good place to stash it for a while?
Thanks for the advice.

Q: Good Afternoon All,
Relating to the recent question by Michael on DR (Medical Facilities Corp) what concern would you put on changing government medical policies in the US? Some time ago I had looked at DR and discussed with an advisor who didn't like due to potential US regulatory changes.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Terry

Q: PPL (Pembina Pipelines) is asking its shareholders for permission to issue new classes of preferred shares to finance expansion and special projects. Do you think there is a strong liklihood this will reduce the dividend rate on common shares? If yes, should I get out now? PPL has given me 36% on my investment in the last year, so I don't want to bail out unless I have to.
Q: BPF.UN
Boston Pizza has been on a very positive roll. Is the valuation getting a little rich? Time to

Q: Hello, and thanks for previous answer re letter-grade rating system. Any comment on what Brookfield's announcement today about issuing preferred shares through a bought deal today will mean for a 5i holder of the common stock? Short and long term?
Q: I am looking for a high yield bond fund to complement my existing preferred share / fixed income holdings of CPD and CBO. Your recommendation would be appreciated. Thanks.
