1.I am mostly a income seeking ( income addicted )investor .YOUR ASSESSMENT OF THE ABOVE IN LIGHT OF THEIR NUMBERS.
2.DOES IT MAKE SENSE TO KEEP REITS THAT DO NOT HAVE TO REFINANCE TO MUCH. AS THEY PAY A GOOD DIVINED AND HAVE THE CAPACITY TO INCREASE RENTS ??? I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THE EXCESSIVE DOWN WARD EVALUATION OF THE SECTOR ???
thanks again

Q: Hi Peter and Team
I would like your always appreciated advice on MTY,SCL and BOYD.UN which I hold a 5% position in each. The three are starting to weaken and I am thinking of switching to something else. Your thoughts please. Is Element Finacial could be one alternative?
Thanks as always.

Q: Hello Peter and 5i Team
My question is regarding my wife's RRSP room which currently is at approx $20,000. She has an indexed pension and anticipates retiring in about 10 years. In addition she has approx $60,000 in her RRSP which she has chosen to be in low risk investments. When she retires she will also receive her sick time payout of 6 months salary($55,000 in today's dollars)
We have been forgoing contributing further to her RRSP with the idea of rolling the sick time payout directly into her RRSP to avoid the tax hit. Anticipating that she can add another $20,000-$30,000 in RRSP room in the next 10 years is this a wise move? To totally top up her RRSP now would require borrowed money.
Thank You

Q: What is your opinion on TASR: Nasdaq?
When a stock like AVO spikes as it has currently is it wise to trim some from my position and let it cool down?
Thanks

Q: Hello 5i,
I would like to add some southeast asia exposure to my portfolio. Jardine Matheson (JM - SP) was recommended on BNN as a good diversified holding. I did some research and thought it was interesting with exposure to China and Hong Kong (although real estate and land...) Would you know the name ? If so, can you please comment?
Instead, could it be just as good to buy some EWS:US (is the yield paid in USD?) or another ETF that you could recommend ? I was thinking of an allocation of 5 - 10% of my stock portfolio.
Also, is it possible to buy stocks on an international exchange through brokerage accounts ?
Your advice would be much appreciated, sorry for the long message and many questions and Thank you again for your great service. Regards.

Q: West Texas Intermediate crude for December delivery added $1.43 to $94.80 on the New York Merc, while Brent for December lost nine cents to $105.24 (all figures in this para U.S.). Western Canadian Select traded at a discount of $41.79 to WTI ($53.01),
With the above said I have some questions :
1.what would be the price at which a good producer ( like surge ,whitecape and CPG )could make money ,( pay a divined and spend enough capital to keep doing well.
2. does a company like Argent , American CPg (oil ) get the WTI pricing.
3. do you think that in the next 2 to 5years the discount rate will be significantly reduced on a consistent basis.
4. Short term 2 years are pipelines planned and approved now going to make a difference.
I hold quite a lot of oil stocks and may have made assumptions that will prove unrealistic especially on pricing and discounts. .
any light on the above will be most helpful
thanks as always

Q: What are your thoughts about WETF on Nasdaq at current price? I've always held to the idea that it's better to own mutual fund companies that it is to own mutual funds themselves. With the popularity of ETFs now, Wisdom Tree seems like a decent choice despite paying no dividend. Thanks!
