Q: Hello Peter and team. Do have any recommendations on how to best play commodities with out actually purchasing individual futures contracts. I'm particularly interested in grains, oj, coffee, sugar etc. Are there etf's that would be suitable? Thanks
Q: Do you have any updates on avf, Avenex/spyglass. I have been adding to my position recently. Any insights or additional information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the great work.
Q: Hi Peter and 5i
Like to know when you are going to write a book or start giving investment courses (live or on line). Been trading stocks, reading books going to courses and seminars, subscribing to investment news letters (5i and Investors Digest are the only 2 I've stayed with) since the 70's 5i and Money saver are the best Iv'e seen. You should go on a speaking tour and offer courses, similar to Monday mourning Larry on BNN. Just a suggestion but you and your staff are the best.

Q: I've traded Trevali (TV) a couple times, looking at it again. Typically how do flow through share issues like they recently announced (just a few % above present trading with 4 month hold) affect the share price? Buy now or wait 4 months and see what happens? When money is spent over the next year on exploration obviously in 4 months it shouldn't affect share price in that time frame? thanks
Q: Hello, I have a small holding in DNG, I know you have commented before on it. Can you provide insight on the years growth? I am considering buying more as I feel gold is going up.
Q: I know you commented on Innergex Renewable Energy (INE) last month but wonder if you any new insight with regard to the stock's movement over the last few days? Thank-you
Q: I currently hold shares in both Rifco and Carfinco. Both have taken a hit recently. Thoughts on both going forward. do you favor one over the other.
Q: Thanks for your valuable service. I own MKP(MCAN) they just announced a bid for Xceed. Is this a good move, how will it imact the companies debt levels and cash flow?
Q: This is about stock screeners. I haven't found free online screeners to be reliable; I am reluctant to use them. I have an account with TD Waterhouse; I am uncertain about that screener to0. My conclusion is that if you want a good screener, you have to pay for it. For US stocks, stockscreener123 appears to be a good choice. Any suggestions with regards to screeners for Canadian stocks? Any comments on stock screeners in general?
Q: I think orbit will be sold (Rio Tinto/Veolia?). Their process is legit but they will have to dilute extensively to reach break even, while if they sell (2.53/3?) they will get the best of what today's money can buy.
Your opinion will be as usual most appreciated,
CDJ
Q: This is about limit orders. As long as the bid ask spread is less than 2%, I place a limit order at the ask price. Sometimes, I only get a partial fill. What is the best strategy after that? Should I just wait until the order is filled? If so, how long should I wait? One hour? One day? One week?
I have wondered whether I should cancel a limit order after a partial fill. The market maker and others with access to such information know my order, and can use that to their advantage. Would I be better off cancelling the order and resubmitting with another limit order?
Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Thanks for all the helpful information and we renewed our membership.
We recently purchased shares of Intact Financial [IFC] and yesterday the share price dropped over 3%. We couldn't find any reason for this. All the news say that the company have good earnings and have increased their dividend. Is this just profit taking ? Your comments would be very helpful. thanks again.
