Q: The unit price for Marret High Yield Strategies MHY.UN continues to fall. What is your opinion for the future? I understand that CI has acquired majority ownership. Has the CI ownership effected the price? Can you see anything positive for the future unit price?
Thanks,
Q: Good Afternoon Peter
I already own a 1.5% position in Enghouse [ESL]. I am planning to put an additional 4.1% of my portfolio into other Infotech stocks and am focusing on Constellation [CSU], Open Text [OTC], and Descartes [DSG].
Would you spread the purchase over all three stocks or just pick one or two and what would your choice be?
Many thanks for your previous advice......Paul
Q: GCG.A had a strong fourth quarter. They also sold 160,000 BMO,perhaps to finance their emerging equity boutique in London. Are these signs that management is finally getting the lead out?

Q: Does Probes find in Borden look like another Red Lake with their intersects growing in size and concentration. I wondering this when I see a company Olympia making and large land acquisition and referring to probe ' s Borden lake project in their announcement for credibility and prb got prospector of the year award for this property. Is it to early to get excited or does this look substantial. I am obviously not a geologist.

Q: Still a new-ish member, wondering about the March 1 Research Report.
Am I correct in thinking that this extensive list does not represent necessarily your favorite stocks, just ones you have decided to do research on? I assume our favorite stocks are in the Model Portfolio instead. I am just wondering what criteria you use for a stock to make the research list, since there are many stocks you like in the Questions area which are not on the Research list.
Q: Would you be a buyer of RRX at current levels? There's really no "good" time to buy this stock, as the company continues to outperform anyone's expectations. I'd like to get your opinion as to whether i just buy the stock at it's 52 week high, or wait for a pull back. My experience with this name is that it just keeps climbing higher and higher
Q: Rithie Brothers RBA is a seasonal stock and this morning they announced Q4 adjusted earnings and revenue above street expectations. Most stocks go up when positive results are announced but by noon RBA has dropped 5%. Can you explain why?
Q: I own SU, SGY, CPG, PWT and TRP as part of the energy exposure of a well diversified RRSP portfolio. Please comment on this basket and offer alternatives for a 5+ year time horizon.
Q: Counsel corp CXS is now down 1/3 from its high but I can see no reason for it. I plan fill up to a full position next week. Can you convince me this is folly?
P.S. Renewed my membership today. Quite happy with your service.
Q: Hello Peter....Since recently signing up for 5iR, I'm doing more homework as like trying to guess your response to questions. About the comparison of PPL and ENB, I looked on the free Bloomberg site for info and it shows ttP/E as 34.5 and 85.0, respectively and then forward P/E as 32.0 and 23.9. And you mentioned ENB is cheaper. When doing a comparative analysis, what are the reason for using the forward P/E rather than the trailing ratio? Also what accounts for the significant difference between trailing and forward P/Es? Exit question: For these two companies, Bloomberg doesn't show PEG ratios. (?) What "weight" do you place/give to this ratio for analysis purposes?.........Enjoy a deep freeze week-end....Tom M
