Q: Hello Team,

Would it be possible for you to list the names of 1 or 2 companies in each sector but with a management which is similar to the ones at CSU, CCL, CXR, or AYA? I mean companies whose management has proven record in caring about shareholders, taking calculative risk to grow the business, and having meaningful skin in the game.

Given your vast knowledge of who is who in business, I hope this is not way too much work for you but I understand if you decline. Like everyone else I am just grateful that you are there for us all. Thank you!

Q: Hi Peter I know you do not follow US stocks too closely but would you mind giving me an opinion on Alcoa, I am up over 30% but the stock is well of its high of $17 US (presently just over $13) Is it best to cash out and move on or wait. I would have thought that the switch to alloys by Ford should have strengthen the sales but that has not been the case? Thanks for your great service

Q: How would you rate the recent 7% Convertible Debenture issued by Terravest? Would you prefer it over the common shares? The company does has exposure to Alberta.

If a person was opening a TFSA with $5000, future additions of $200 biweekly and had no other holdings, what would be your recomendation. Low fee mutual funds, ETF's?? Canada only or something with international exposure? Thanks

Q: Hello Team
TD Waterhouse states that the dividend Payout ratio of WIN is 201%. Does that mean that they are paying out 201% more than the cash they are taking in? Other than that all their fundamental numbers seem to have (+) signs. What does the 5I team make of their numbers.

Q: Hi Mr. Hodson. Thanks for the question opportunity.
My question is re: today's Globe&Mail article titled 'Why banks should be feeling very, very afraid'. He recommends shorting the banks because they would be dinosaured by Apple pay, Google pay, paypal etc. technology, Just like entertainment, publishing, travel-agency industries.
I am worried. I have 20% of portfolio in Canadian banks for dividends for pension.
Should I trim the banks? Thank you so much. sarah
