Q: I have seen the discussion on Molycorp mcp, which goes back to Jan 2013 and did not encourage purchasing. How is it now, but, more generally, is there anything in rare earths that should be considered?
Q: I have shares in Manulife, Sunlife and FFH that's a lot of insurance- I am thinking I should lighten up a bit and MFC is maybe my preference to sell it down a little bit- what are your thoughts on this?? Then I am not sure if I should just hold some cash and relax for a while or purchase some Stella Jones as per your research.
Q: Good evening 5i! I am considering selling my WCP shares and converting to NPI shares. I've held WCP for a couple of years and it seems to be doing very little in growth, (I also hold PEY, CPG and BTE in the energy sector). My broker has suggested I look at NPI for a good yield and decent long term growth, (I also hold CPX in the power sector). Can you provide me with your unbiased recommendation on this potential company switch looking at it over the next couple of years.
Thanks for your help and input.

Q: Peter; Could you decipher the Q&A release today by HLP.Un? I am not sure if it is good or bad. Thanks. Rod
Q: Solium Capital is continuing its descent down. Your thoughts please on unloading when down 20% or good days to come.
Q: re: SUM
Almost an 8% drop in 2 days and a 15% drop in 30 days. Back in Feb while tracking I had a target price in mind of $6.75. Today it is at $6.48 but considering the big drop, now I am in a sit and wait/nervous to pull trigger mode. Has anything in particular happened to explain such a significant fall? Especially in the last couple of days. Or do you think this is investors still reacting to the CEO selling of shares?
Thank You
Gord

Q: Peter/Ryan:
Do you have a preferred vehicle for holding gold and silver bullion within registered accounts? Are there bullion funds that you would recommend? I have to date used the Sprott gold and silver bullion funds (SPR216/316). They invest primarily in "unencumbered, fully allocated" bullion, which is important to me.

Q: Hi Peter & Team,
Almost all the gold stocks went down today. Is that a sign to jump off the "gold" wagon.
Thanks,
Morris

Q: Who do you think has more growth potential between davis and Henderson (dh), and stella jones (sj), thanks.
Q: what is your current opinion of MMT? thanks
Q: Would you still recommend buying CGX at its current price?
Q: Hi! Your thoughts on the LNV-SGY deal?
Q: In his recent shareholders letter, Warren Buffett gave this advice: "My money, I should add, is where my mouth is: What I advise here is essentially identical to certain instructions I’ve laid out in my will. One bequest provides that cash will be delivered to a trustee for my wife’s benefit. (I have to use cash for individual bequests, because all of my Berkshire shares will be fully distributed to certain philanthropic organizations over the ten years following the closing of my estate.) My advice to the trustee could not be more simple: Put 10% of the cash in short-term government bonds and 90% in a very low-cost S&P 500 index fund. (I suggest Vanguard’s.) I believe the trust’s long-term results from this policy will be superior to those attained by most investors – whether pension funds, institutions or individuals – who employ high-fee managers." He doesn't suggest putting the money in BRK.
As a portfolio manager what would your thoughts be. I understand his wife is 66-67yrs old.
Thanks
Mike

Q: AYA has been dropping day after day up to their disappointing earnings. In fact, it's been down 1.5% to over 2% almost every day for the past ten days. Now we get a huge drop on earnings. Since you didn't know anything, this tells me their earnings disappointment wasn't known on the street. That in turn suggests a lot of insider trading by those who were given this information. Personally, I want nothing to do with such companies, and I'm wondering if you're reconsidering its inclusion in your portfolio.
Q: Hello,
Would you ever consider doing a US Equity Model Portfolio?
Many of the questions I have asked have been about US companies, and the advice I received has been amazing, my returns have been incredible.

Q: re: XEG
I bought this a few years ago for growth
I found out that the energy sector is very cyclical
I am finally very near to breaking even (the 2% dividend helps)
The trend has been upward in the last few months
what is your outlook for XEG ?
I also owns Suncor, CNQ, HSE (all have gained 20%)
As for gas, I have ALA which has also gained 30%
The COS is the weak link in my portfolio, it has lost
over 20% though the trend has been up recently
could you kindly comment on the seasonal trend for XEG ?
much appreciated !
I might sell it and put it in something else, looking for
a decent timing to do it
Thanks

Q: Although Amaya has had a bad quarter the outlook for revenue growth is encouraging; which should probably improve gross margins too as the margins declined on administrative and general expenses which normally would not grow at a similar pace. Is today the time to average down?
Q: Do you have any further info on CHW since March 18 - it continues to fall
Q: AYA Buy, sell or hold. Thanks
